My bf is very moody which is why he hurts my feelings often. I was in an emotionally abusive relationship before and wanted to prevent getting extremely hurt in my current relationship which is why I built a wall around me when I realized that my bf can hurt me. Do you think that what I did was fair?

What?? Why don't you just dump him and find a guy who won't treat you like crap?

I have to agree with rum drinker. Ditch the bum, you should be treated like a human being all the time. If he is that moody tell him to go down to the local pub and emotionally abuse someone down there, then we'll see what sort of a hero he is. Look out for yourself because no-one will do this better than you.

In any relation don't go to the extent of anything, neither emotionally or physically or whatever. Be moderate and treat the person as you expect him to treat you unless you have proves that you should not. Don't let the past affect you, your fingers are not the same!

Do you think that being abused for any reason is fair .
Let me help the answer is.............. NO.....
If you need to protect your self that is fine, but if you don't inform him of that hurt ,he will continue with out thinking that you are being hurt and that you don't care .
Tell him that you don't deserve his abuse
Its time to treat you with the respect you show him .

you should always do whats needed 2 make you feel more secure, without blocking any1 out.

i think it depends on if your "wall" is made out of wood or concrete :s :)

We do that, we build emotional walls for whatever our reasons are. You have to do what you have to do. Have you tried seeing a counsellor.

Eventually, if you love him, you will have to let that barrier down. Love can only grow when both parties trust.
