Because we are dust.....we are weak. I have to ask for forgiveness and die to self daily. I have to continue to look to Jesus and not to another person or to myself or I lose faith again. Jesus said that His strength is made perfect in weakness. I am weakness and I ask for His strength.

There are seven general categories of imperfect practicing Christians as follows: 1-the loveless Christians who put themselves under the law but cannot follow the law; to them their faith is a sense of duty under the law instead as a sense of love through their heart. 2-Coward Christians who prefer to have the status of saints (church of latter day saints) but are cowering in fear in the safety of city because instead of looking for their martyrdom as saints in no man's land so that their blood are poured down to the ground to nourish a new christian church they evade their works. 3- the backslider Christians who say and do not do such as appearing as spokesmen for the Word of GOD. 4- the corrupt Christians who are wealthy and powerful but yet these have boomerang effects as they corrupt themselves. 5-the genuis/ intellectuals but are dead Christians who believe their wisdom is their own but do not acknowledge that their wisdom comes from THE LORD GOD. 6- loving Christians who are perfect by the love of THE LORD GOD and 7-the lukewarm Christians who are neither hot nor cold in their faith. Thus, there are actually six of these imperfect Christians who believe in GOD today and lose faith tomorrow. THANKS GOD; FEAR GOD; PRAISE GOD; GLORIFY GOD; HONOR GOD; LOVE GOD AND WORSHIP GOD. because belief has no roots or strong foundation. When you KNOW god through mystical experience then nothing can shake your faith.

God's mercies are renewed each morning. He knew we'd need it daily. Satan will continue to attack us until our last breath. We have to be diligently seeking Gods face or we may lose our way.

I have found that my 'loss of faith' is merely wanting my own way and not accepting His divine plan for me.
In other words: 'Wah, wah, wah! I want it THIS way!'
God has always provided something better.

Because the belief in G-d is something that needs maintenance.
The best maintenance is reading the Bible (if possible, in the original Hebrew), prayer, and good deeds.
