I've bought a new box of air optix and noticed that my air optix has lot number which is topic of valuntary recall...

Wikipedia says: "CIBA Vision in the United States of America recalled certain lots of O2 Optix that were sold from September 2006 to December 2006. This is due to these lots falling below CIBA Vision's Ion Permeability standards. Reduced ion permeability in contact lenses may lead to reduced lens movement, symptoms of discomfort and/or foreign body irritation. The following lot numbers are being recalled: 6644001 to 6721262 2011/09 to 2011/11"

mine has no: 6707142, AIR OPTIX... Is this voluntary recall also valid for my lenses, should I return them? or O2Optix and Air Optix has different lot numbers?

sorry for english :))

You should call whoever sold you the lenses with this question.

Or call CIBA UK at the phone number in the link below.

This is what pushes me to look into raw feeding more and more... I don't feed Eukanuba nor Iams, I feed TOTW, but who knows my luck their products will be affected, you can never be 100% guaranteed that your commercial dog food will NOT be affected. But thanks for the heads up. Legit: I usually take the bag of dog food and dump it into sealed containers, so I usually check the bag and write on a piece of tape and stick this to the lid so I know how long I have till it's used up. Usually I don't have a problem using it by then as my dogs go through a lot of food!
