it would to an extent. If you were fishing for catfish it might work. Some people use canned catfood with fish it. If your going to use it i would mix it with menhaden oil or something like that. And i wouldnt use the tune in oil, use the kind that is in water. Just mix a few cans with some fish oil some oats and sand and it would make good chum just make balls with the mixture and throw it in the are you want to fish. if your fishing for catfish just poke some holes in the can and throw it in the area you are going to fish. wait 30 minutes or so and give it a shot. Just punch a few small holes in the can with a screw driver and if you want to keep control of the can put it in a small net, like those used to sell oranges, and tie the net, and add a long string. Also canned tuna, the one in oil not water, could also be used to lure baitfish into a drop net.

Yes it will work but what waters are you fishing and for what kind of fish?
For the cost and amount really needed it would be cheaper to buy a chum block if very much is needed to use!Or make your own with caught fish!

cand tuna would work ok but you dont get all the blood from the real tuna you would get using fresh stuff ....... try it out and let me know how it works
