How do you handle missionaries that solicit @ your door?

I've had Jehovah's witness and Mormon missionaries stop at my door to preach the word of god. Nothing totally wrong, but I just don't want to be bothered and want to devote time with them. I got to a point where every month or so the stop by my neighborhood and knock at my door. I recently left a sign of "no soliciting" and my gosh they bypass them. I tell them not come here, and they don't listen. What will get thru the thick heads that I don't want to be bothered?

I don't give a @#$@#$...

If they show up I ether don't answer if I see them coming... or when I open the door... I close it again.

Once I asked if there clones or something becose every one of them I ever see walking around looks like the same two guys.... they just kinds stood there shocked and didn't say anything, so I shut the door and went to watch some TV.

Telephone your local Kingdom Hall (Jehovah's Witness) and Bishop (Mormon) ask that they talk to the respective people out ion service (JW) and missionaries (Mormon) to stop the visits..

You can find the telephone numbers for each in your local telephone book.. Be polite and explain as you have here that you have asked them not to come again and placed "No Soliciting" signs up.. The respective sect leaders should handle the problem for you...

If it doesn't work the next time they come for a visit simply say "No interested" immediately upon opening the door then shut the door and walk away.. They will usually only stay if you talk to them..

If they stay without you there to talk to them call local law enforcement and have them removed from your property for being trespassers..

If they continue to bother you, simply tell them off. How you don't want to hear it, that you don't believe in their particular religion, and that you perhaps never will. Also point out the fact that they will definitely not sway your minds because of the constant attempts to do so, which seems pathetic, and that they really should spend more time reflecting upon their own selves and where they stand with their god, and how they can improve upon themselves and become better Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormoms.

Or you can have them stare down the barell of your gun. Fear works just as well. >=D

In great Britain, a solicitor is a barrister or criminal expert. interior the rustic it often ability a salesperson. If those at your door are advertising some thing (such as soliciting for money for a product), then they could be called solicitors. If no longer, then NO!

I usually won't get up from the couch to answer the door unless it is a pizza. People I know usually do not come over unless I am expecting them so if my door rings then it is probably someone I don't know and don't want to talk to.

Preach to them. Tell them to STOP demanding entertainment at your expense.

Then shut the door. And don't answer again when they call.

I have a large blue book by Raymond Buckland with a pentacle on the front. The last time they came to my house I brought it to the door with me. They looked at it and then at me with the looks of absolute horror. I told them if we talked about their faith we should talk about mine also.
They haven't been back in 3 years

Tell them to stop!! And don't answer the door any more. Otherwise they'll keep on bothering you!! You might tell them you'll report them for harassment!

you could ask them to see their bible and then burn it in front of their face. that should scare them enough, or answer the door naked.

But i just invite them to dinner and say i am not interested in their religion, but i would love to meet them socially. The mormons at least respond well to that.

I always cut them off never let them get to any points.then i completely change the subject an demand the listen to me ..usually they excuse them selves....I love door to door people
