I was watching Digiturk last night, and noticed that their election coverage was heavily biased towards AKP and they had a bunch of commercials for "Learn the Koran on DVD". Is it a religious channel? Not being alarmist; just curious.

Mehmet Kaya and his sons Ahmet and Mustafa Kaya are the owners of Kanal A. They are good friends and supporters of Melih Gökçek.

Also they are the owners of Termikel, Alfagas and Elektromed which do beautiful cooperation(!) with the municipality and ASKİ.

Regards...

I can´t say that, but anyway, you got your answer already!

Everything over there is owned by some party or other it seems, but really it´s the same back home, I suppose - they just don´t say it that openly. (New York Times, Washington Post - not as open-minded as one assumes...). But you´re into the journalism area anyway, so what am I trying to tell you.....? My hubby and I read the Turkish papers online every evening, and it is so strange that certain papers won´t even mention AKP these days - right before the election. As if they don´t exist. It´s all so onesided, whichever one you read, it seems. I find myself wondering, "do Turkish people really fall for all this?". Maybe you can give me the answer to that one....
