I knew a family years ago that did just that. The dad would walk around naked in front of his teenage daughters, the mom would walk around naked in front of the son, the kids would walk around naked. I even seen the kids run outside naked a few times.
I find it strange - the last thing i want to see is my mom and dad walking around naked. YUCK.
Am i just a Backwards American?

well they were borned naked and it is a natural thing. Being naked is not the big problem. Sex acts between them would be but the nude is a personal thing and shouldn't get u up tight unless u are taking some part in it and feel guilty

I don't, but I would love to. If I all of sudden walked out of my room, right in front of family, stark naked, I don't think they would take to kindly to it. They're those kind of people who see a body as something that should be hidden because if you show to much skin it becomes "sexual." Modesty comes from a person's conduct, not state of dress.

You have a high dose of the Puritan culture embedded into your psyche. Many families are nudist families (like mine). We don't believe there is anything wrong with being comfortable and accepting of your body. There's nothing sexual about simply being nude. The problem with Puritan society is that the only time they are nude is to bathe or have sex... that leads to the mind thinking that nudity outside a private bath = sex. Nothing is further from the truth! Our bodies are wonderful living things, and we should not be ashamed of them, particularly in a family where everyone should accept one another.
I do not condone sexual activity with family members (other than spouses/sig others of course). Sex should not be performed in the presence of children, obviously.

I think that everything depends on the situation of your family. Are you familiar with nudism? I would imagine you are very far from that.
Anyway, if there are not problems for you or the other people, in principle this situation it is acceptable and there is nothing wrong in being nude.
I live with my son (in Europe not in the US...) and sometime it happens to see each other in different status of undress and even naked.
Without malice and with a good education I don't see problem on that.

HAHAH no no. it may seem weird to us but perfectly normal to others. it all goes back to culture and beliefs. if they do it all their lives then thats normal to them. they prob think some of us are weird for not running around naked. ive seen an episode of malcolm in the middle and the dad walks around the house naked. whatever floats your boat i guess..

Hie Dave. Well to me it is something of a family to do something ackward that the whole family is doing something stupid of this kind. To me it is something of a parents doesn't have shy in themselves and they also doesn't have dignity in themselves and when they do this the kids actually should feel shy towards it and not by just sitting there and watching it, they should at least not to follow the parents of doing this kind which it is wrong of the parents, if the parents have some moral values in them then it is good for the kids to follow, instead if the parents don't then it is something wrong with the parents and they need to have a counseling section. Try this and hope it might help you.........................

Nudist families are probably some of the most normal families in the world. Parents and children are more likely to discuss issues that we all face. The are also some of the nicest, kindest, caring people I have every met.
My wife and I decided to raise our children as nudist, because of this.
At the Presbyterian church we attend, about 30% of the membership are nudist and everyone is OK with it, no they do not come to service naked. In fact, one of the elders he and his wife ar nudist, their children, grandchildren, and so to be great grandchild are nudist. They are one of the greatest familys you like to meet.

theyre probably those nudist people..you know? they go to nudist colonies. and theres actually a lot of families that are nudists. they are in touch with their natural body and dont see it to be offensive so they are okay with walking around naked in front of everyone

Well, me and my girlfriend are naked when no one is around, were a bit nudist people but around other people...HELL NO! That's a bit disgusting, but a guess a bit normal. But as for oposit sexes to walk around I really don't think it's quite right.

there are some family who are nudist. as for me i walk around naked in front of my fiancee only.
