Well, here's the thing, not to sound insensitive, but...

Unless you were all alone and shy before he came along, you should just find someone else.

I get totally insane when a girl I have a crush on goes for some other guy, but that's because I've never had a girlfriend. If I were a normal guy who could meet girls on a regular basis, I would just find another one if the one I'm with cheats on me, but if I ever did have a girlfriend, I know it would be through a huge effort and painstaking work, so if I were to lose her it would be like losing everything.

In so many words: if you're a normal person, not shy and you know a lot of people and can make new friends, don't sweat it. Just find another guy more worthy of your time.
