I sprained my ankle a couple of weeks ago at work. And I've been pretty much just sitting around since then because I can't move that well. I'm going to start jogging again when the doctor gives the ok. What do you think, walking for a week and then work some jogging into it?

Listen to the doctor but I don't think you should stay off it too long. It will heal faster and better if you get some range of motion back into it. Start slowly and make sure to ice and elevate after you exercise to keep swelling down. Also pop some advil. If you are sitting around at work/watching TV, do some range of motion exercises. Trace the letters of the alphabet with your injured ankle. (It really doesn't matter if you do the actual letters, just that you are moving it around)

Be careful, I was in similar situation, and injured myself further, by starting work out 2 soon. Only U can be the true judge of a sprain, as it does not show up on x-ray or examination. I would suggest going to sports MD, not podiatrist or DO. Your foot has the most amount of bones than any other body part, and injuries should be taken very seriously.

the main suitable situation for a sprained ankle is time, and staying off of it, it incredibly is an identical situation a doctor assist you to comprehend. Take some tylenol or aspirin/ If the swelling has long gone down thats a stable sign, yet provide it some extra time, do situps and crunches, and top physique workouts collectively as staying off of your ankle.
