I found this guy that i am total in love with and hes comeing to see me in like 2 weeks ! and my family is scared that hes some wierdo just because i meet him online! But what they dont understand is that im really in love with him and that i feel that i could spend the rest of my life with him and that hes not really a bad guy!!

**** those other ppl brittany, they suck balls, im in a relationship like that too, youve prayed about it, hes not a freak...**** u ppl!!! ive been molested in real life by my moms ex husband (my old step dad) u can get freakin screwed over online but it can happen in ur own family, it DOESNT have 2 happen online, no matter how careful u are they can STILL find u, follow ur heart, i kno uve prayed alot, if he was a killer, how come he hasnt killed u yet? he knows where u live and hes known u for a year...so..if he was a killer ud be dead right now, the same wit me, ive known my bf longer than uve known urs, and he hsnt killed me yet....u freakin losers shut up!!!!!!!!!!

okey first of all have you met this guy before? I know sometimes its easy to fall in love with guys on the internet, they always seem very perfect, and believe me there are some that are true to their word and are as perfect in "real life" as they are on the net, but some guys are total creeps and just act all sweet for one thing. As long as you are following your gut and your head instead of your heart u'll be fine and your judgements should be fine. its always a hard thing for parents and family and friends to acknowledge the fact that their loved on will be or has met someone on the net, i dont know why, i guess its just the safety factor, but really its not that bad of a thing. You'll have to let your family get to know him and see what they think of him in person because otherwise they willl keep on thinkin' that he is a bad guy and then maybe they'll see how in love you are with him. Dont give up if you believe in your head and your gut that this guy is for real dont let your family get in the way, but make sure if this is the first time meeting him, meet him in a public place or with lots of family and friends around, just in case. 1. If you've never met him, how can you be in love with him? You only know what he's told you, not what the truth is. Being told things from one point of view (his) and believing it as fact is dangerous. You are in love with the idea of being in love, not him, you don't really know him, never spent any time with him, doing things together.
2. It's extremely dangerous to meet people off the internet because you never know who they really are and people use the internet to prey on kids. What are you going to do if a 50 year old man shows up with guns and kills your whole family?
3. Meeting people online seems like a desperate act, and therefore most people think that those who do it are desperate themselves and not capable of finding people to like them in their own town.
4. Your family has your best interests at heart, you should listen to them.

Well unfortanently there is no way you can convince your parents untill they have meet the guy. I wish you the best of luck with this guy and hope everything turns out for the best.
