Just keep your mouth shut, do what you're told, never volenteer for anything, and never draw any extra attention to yourself. Never fall out of a formation run either, and never screw over any of your buddies. Oh, if you go some place hot during the summer, drink enormous amounts of what so you don't end up in a body bag. I've seen a few good men get hurt or worse just cause they didn't drink enough water. If you can do all of this, you'll cruise through it and the drill sgt. won't even know your name.

Keep your mouth shut and speak when spoken to. Don't volunteer for anything. Try and do your best. Follow instructions, no more, no less.
Don't cop any kind of attitude, if you do then you will get an attitude adjustment.
Don't worry about it, there are millions of people who get through it. It'll be over before you realize it, then you can laugh about it for the rest of your life.

Pretty much don't be cocky drill seargants will sense that and tear you apart. Stay calm and listen carefully to all of things they tell you listen to all instructions and orders that you are given. And when a drill seargant yells at you just look straight in there eyes don't back sass just let them yell and if there is questions answer them with a yes drill seargant or no drill seargant that's about it.

Master the "half stand" when they ask for volunteers. Always look like you want to do it but let others be faster. Seriously- just remember it will be over someday and actually try to embrace the training.

Stay positive, follow orders, work hard, keep yourself squared away, work as a team, try not to let any setbacks get you down, and have fun, it really helps.
