have you thrown away all of the items that they got you? Erased theor information out of your cell, blackberry, etc?
Besides that you have to realize that you are cheating yourself and others by holding onto something that has past. Remember the good and learn from the bad and resolve to let it go.
You could even look up the grieving process or the 12 step program to let go.
Don't compare people to the ex. And try to go day to day, days will be become weeks, weeks months, etc.
And don't settle because you what attention or whatever.
Also, learn to love you and take time out for yourself (Exercise, or a gift, or treat, hobby ir whatever) You have to be a whole person that is complimented by another person.
Good luck

I would bet that he was your first true love. Those feelings do not go away. Every now and then you will think about him. It is always that "what if" thing. Your feelings will become weaker, but you will not stop remembering that first love. My true love was 15 years ago, and I have never forgotten. Even though I have been in a 12 years relationship since then, I still think of him. I just don't think about him as often as I used to.

I had the same problem but for about 3 years...
Try this: I read once that when we remember an ex and can't get over him all we seem to do is miss the GOOD side of him, the good things they did.. the sweet moments.. but if you remember the bad ones you'll find out WHY things aren't the same as they used to be!

Maybe the guy you are with now reminds you of your ex in a way, or perhaps your ex is doing something with his new girlfriend that he didn't do with you and that is why you keep thinking about him. Just remember this, if he is doing it now, it is only because he doesn't want to mess up this relationship like he messed up his relationship with you.

2 years, thats kinda strange; regardless, thats hardly fair to use someone to heal a past relationship, which is just what your doing with your new bf
