Some colors that would work are:
Ivory---this will keep the room looking large and make the furniture pop.
Pale gold--this will accent the gold in the upholstery and make the warm brown look even warmer!
You could do a bit of extra work with this technique.....paint the room either Ivory or Pale gold in a matte color. Paint vertical stripes with the SAME color, but using a semi-gloss or gloss finish. This will give the room an added drama without looking too over-the-top. The light will reflect off the gloss paint and give a nice dimension to the room.
Adding some browns and/or greens as accents to the room will help balance the room out....candles, plates, flowers (or branches), vases, etc....

1] pale gold with green drapes, gold tiebacks; brass candleholders with green candles
2] pale green with gold drapes, rest as above
3] paint walls ivory, use green/gold stripe drapes, rest as above
4] paint one wall same as LR color [ a facing wall ], or use same window treatments, or same flooring
