somewhat convoluted you appearto suggest that searching for god [via religion ] makes us somehow less human?
to the contrary , see that human is a beast [an animal, ] but the highestr of what beastcan be [we alone amoung all the beasts [indeed all creation can write [can read words not only by shape but constructs and form]
we have a hard time ''being '' human because we know if it is to be it is up to thee ,your dog /cat /fish isnt going to do ''it '' it has to be you or your fellow humans
we spend time looking behind things because animals are about survival , but humans are called to higher standards [in time we all shall become as christ [higher human being ] if this means loosing [or gaining our ''humanity so be it
animals [realise what we are ] cannot ever be ''human'' , but humans can return to beast

But it is these pursuits and more which only expand our humanity.
Since the dawn of man, the first bipedal human creature has always been exploring, always thirsting for knowledge. Thus led to many of life's greatest creations and discoveries, namely, the wheel and fire. And throughout time, man has continued to search for answers, explore more, gain the truth, and discover. Thomas Edison, the Louisiana Purchase, World War II, the Western Gold Rush, discoveries of prehistoric fossils, first lunar landing. These are only bits and pieces of humanity's rich and grand history. What truly makes us human is our neverending search for knowledge. How can we cure cancer? Does God exist? What's the meaning of life? Will virtual reality ever be completed? How have we come to be? We have billions of questions, and we all want answers. The pursuit of knowledge is what makes us human, regardless of whether its science, religion, or whatever the subject is.

You're right, we are all human. As humans, we make mistakes and we try to learn from those mistakes. Some people are smart, and others have a hard time trying to think. Some commit crimes while others are law enforcers trying to put away committers. Good and bad goes either way. You choose as a human being to be either a good person or a bad person. Do what you think is right.

Because no one will let us just be human. The bible tells us how low we are for being human. That's a real confidence booster. And, just look what we do to one another. All the facades would have to drop in order to just be human. How many are willing to expose themselves to such vulnerability?

Mans "Ego" is such a divisive little critter.
It has an insatiable hunger, and it devours everything in its path.
A human being will never be complete until they learn to tame the "Ego".
If one can tame the "Ego", they can become a "True Human Being".
