If you check out the complete Beatles one of their low points was when they got mixed up with some hokie indian guru . .. and George Harrison wrote a hit song professing his Hindu Faith . .. John Lennon wrote a signature song "Imagine" which is strictly Athiest . . . it was Paul McCartney as i understand who wrote the song "Let it be" in some of their last sessions together having troubles because of Yoko sitting in . .. I have no idea what Ringo believes in but was for a time an indian guru guy too . ..
the Holy Roman Catholic Church incidentally is the fullness of teh TRUTH . . . as such is the holder of the covenant BODY AND BLOOD . .. and thus is the TRUE VINE . ..
-LOVE your nieghbor as yourself
Amen

They all believe in a higher being and, contrary to popular belief, John was not an atheist. He was asked in an interview if he believed in God and John replied he did, but not in an old man upstairs. He believed when you die, you become part of God. How does the song "Imagine" prove that John was an atheist? It doesn't. John sang, "Imagine there's no heaven..." but he also sang "imagine there's no countries..." and "imagine no possessions...". Does that mean that John did not believe in countries or possessions?

I don't remember exactly what is was about but I believe it was something religious that got them banned from America for a little while.
One of them had to apologize for it before being let back in. Like I said I believe it was about something they said against God but I'm not sure.

No, I heard an interview with Paul McCartney and he said Mary is his mother. His mother's name was Mary and he was actually refering to her in the song.

All people are "religious" ! Religion is a ritualistic approach to attempt to fill an empty void within ones self. People use Sex, money, work, booze, drugs, people, cars, jobs, careers, education, intellectualism, homes, pets, music, etc., etc. to attempt, fill the void. The Beatles were no different ... John Lennon and George Harrison are now, in the grave ... and so will you and I ... one day join them.
