It's not affected. Your salvation is entirely between you and God, and is not subject to your blind adherence to any man-made organization.

Amen, Rico's Lori.

This is an excellent question. It seems impossible for humans to assume any certain connection between one's disfellowshipping (such as is performed by humans) and withdrawal of one's salvation (such as is determined divinely).

Even when a committee of exemplary congregation elders works conscientiously to follow the bible's instruction and the holy spirit's leadings, no mature Jehovah's Witness would suppose that any human committee's judgment could perfectly reflect the infallible wisdom and justice of God and Christ.

(1 Samuel 16:7) As for Jehovah, he sees what the heart is

(Genesis 18:25) Is the Judge of all the earth not going to do what is right?

(Isaiah 11:3-4) [Jesus] will not judge by any mere appearance to his eyes, nor reprove simply according to the thing heard by his ears. And with righteousness he must judge the lowly ones, and with uprightness he must give reproof

The apostle Paul mentioned an example of a disfellowshipped man in both his letters to the Corinthians. In the first letter, he instructed that the man, who was an unrepentant fornicator, be removed from the congregation. The bible tells us that the congregation is in subjection to the Christ, who in turn is in subjection to God, his Father. The idea is to keep God's congregation clean and holy and to discipline the unrepentant man. It's very similar to sending an unruly child to his room, thereby cutting him off from the rest of the family and its activity. The man Paul spoke of evidently accepted the discipline, turned from his bad ways and repented, because in 2Corinthians Paul told them to welcome him back as a brother. The bible tells us how to receive the free gift of salvation, but it also tells us that we can lose it, or, in effect, "give it back". James 2:24-26; 5:19, 20; Jude 3 & 5; John 15:2 & 6; Matthew 24:13; Hebrews 6:4-6; 10:26-31; 12:3; Colossians 1:23; Revelation 2:2; James 1:22; 1Corinthians 5:11-13; 9:24; 1Peter 4:17; Philippians 2:12;
All these scriptures will help you to understand that simply "once saved..." does NOT mean "...always saved".

2Peter 2:20- *ESPECIALLY THIS ONE*, it states it plain as day! "20 Certainly if, after having escaped from the defilements of the world by an accurate knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they get involved again with these very things and are overcome, the final conditions have become worse for them than the first!"

See what I mean?!

Having said all of that, the bottom line is that an individual's salvation is strictly between that person and God, but chances are that if a person cares nothing for serving God with a clean conscience and a good name (see Ecclesiastes 7:1) then it is evident that they consider the free gift of salvation with little regard and thus will not receive it!

So called salvation is not guaranteed no matter how good you are or how obedient. It is a gift granted by Jesus.
(John 5:22) For the Father judges no one at all, but he has committed all the judging to the Son,

Disfellowshipping only happens when a person who has done wrong is NOT repentant.
But when the do repent, and approach the elders to be permitted back into the congregation, a period of time [ variable] is spent attending meetings but with no privileges.
Apart from sickness, all; meetings must be attended. Basically, to show repentance publicly. [ to the congregation]

i like it whilst people who haven't any concept answer questions. Jesus became right into a witness for Jehovah and Jehovah's Witnesses evaluate themselves Christians, yet extra heavily shaped after the 1st century Christians previously each and every of the Apostles died. first of all, witnesses have been referred to as Bible pupils and a few stated them as Russellites. Witnesses accompanied the call Jehovah's Witnesses interior the 1931. Russell initially did no longer prefer them named different than to basically be referred to as Bible pupils. yet they did finally undertake the call utilising scriptures like Isaih 40 3:12 ""you're my Witnesses" says the Lord" in case you have ever taken the time to hearken to a JW or pass to a gathering, Jesus is a widely used concentration. God appointed Jesus to truly sit down in His stead ("place" for you youthful ones). Jesus basically want became into to do his Father's will which he carried out so completely that he advised his followers at 1Peter 2:3, "He that hath seen me hath seen the daddy". There are different scriptures that let us know that noone can see God and stay, so Jesus became into telling them that his strikes, character, ideals, and so on reflect those of Jehovah. in view that Jesus gave his existence to purchase returned what Adam lost, he grew to grow to be "Savior" to many. That became into God's will. What with regard to the announcing of God's call. some Witnesses call God via Yahweh and there are different perfect translations. If i'm referred to as Jose rather of Joseph via my mexican friends, i do no longer disown them. If Jehovah isn't the right translation, i'm confident whilst the time comes the God of affection will let us know quite than wreck us. do no longer a number of y'all sense stupid now.

It is not disfellowshipping that affect salvation, that only is a means of keeping the congregation clean. Salvation is affected by the person's lack of repentance and the lack of following after the Christ. Disfellowshipping is a sign of that lack of repentance.

My husband grew up in the JW religion and I've been studying for a few years now. How I understand it is their hope is in either an eternal life on paradise earth or for a few chosen, an eternal life in heaven. If a person is dis-fellowshipped then that person is no longer a candidate for either. When they die that will be the end of their existence. I hope this helps...

If you were a rebellious child and continually disruppted the peace and welfare of your family, you would in effect be acting very selfishly, having no regard for the hurt and disruption you were putting your family through. You could also be putting your family's good name into question and even bringing in unwholesome and dangerous influence into your family. If you continued to do this even though it would bring your parents and brothers and sisters much heartache you might be told that if you did not stop this action you'll have to leave. Naturally in many cases you wouldn't want to leave cause you do love your family, even though you want your independence. But you would be acting so selfishly and hurtfully if you continued in your way with little regard for the welfare of your family. Some drug addicts have destroyed their family life due to their refusing help and have had to leave the family circle. When this happens the rebellious child feels unloved or rejected and often harbours alot of resentment for the family even blaming them for their conduct. Really they are just in such a disasterous emotional turmoil, their problems are getting worse, they feel as though they haven't got anyone who cares about them, they feel total abandonment and left to their own defices things usually get alot worse. Their self esteem plummets, they start mixing with people who use them and abuse them (I'm not just talking about drug users here) and life looks as though there is no future. Tell me who chose that? They could have stopped that behaviour and chose their family and their dignity? Who threw that away? They could go back couldn't they? But hang on that would be humiliating admitting they were wrong in the first place. Jehovah is molding us all the time. Sometimes we sin in a way that we never ever thought we would....ok....we are human, Jesus died for forgiveness of our sins. Remember Jesus did not die to save righteous ones but the unrighteous. If we were all righteous he wouldn't have had to die at all. Our eternal salvation is determined by firstly our heart condition, our faithful actions, our humility and submission to Christ and his headship, our acceptance of Christ's ransom sacrifice which means that we CAN be forgiven of virtually any sin if we STOP and TURN around and show complete heartfelt repentance. Remember Jehovah is our father and our family are our brother and sisters worldwide, we need them SO much and believe it or not they really hurt when we do the wrong thing, not cause their self righteous but cause they really care... DON'T YOU? If you are in this position its not too late, its all up to you now. And yes even when your disfellowshipped you can still pray to Jehovah and study to regain your strength even though you feel like a hypocrite and unworthy, it does tell Jehovah that at least you recognise that you cannot do it without his strength.

Only Jehovah can decide. It depends on the heart condition of the one who was disfellowshipped. If the end should come and that person has been trying hard to come back, Jehovah may extend mercy to him. However, the best thing is not to get disfellowshipped in the first place.

Well, don't you know? They are disfellowshipped due to their unwillingness to correct their ungodly conduct of which no doubt they've been counseled on repeatedly by the Elders. Unfortunately since they refused to change their immoral ways, they must be (many times) disfellowshipped until, or if they "clean up their act" and repent showing remorse and abstaining from their prior bad conduct that got them disfellowshipped.

If they should not accept reproving and pray to Jehovah to correct their unclean conduct they will be as if banished and may submit to apostate behavior. The longer that one goes without showing repentence and getting oneself reinstated, the longer they are in the dark where it comes to being close to Jehovah once again. The disfellowshipped one is the one who removed him/herself from Jehovah, not the other way around.

The salvation of this one is in jeopardy unless they repent and thru much prayer to Jehovah is this a strong possibility. If they do not repent and strive to be worthy of God's clean organization they are like the world susceptable to destruction.
