The macaroni is pasta and the cheese is powdered americanized oil. Which by the way is very unhealthy for you. Any cheese lover could tell you that Kraft cheese not only is bad for you, it is not true cheese. If you like mac and cheese the healthiest way to go about it is to make it from scratch. Buy macaroni, boil it with salt. Buy your fave cheese, preferably cheddar, extra sharp, monterey jack, colby jack. Put the cheese in the pot with a little skim milk, a pad of butter or margarine. Once it has melted mix with pasta and enjoy. P.S It takes the same amount of time as the instant macaroni but healthier. Love your food when you make it and love your food when you eat it.

Yes, macaroni is pasta...
No, cheese is not pasta...
And when it is together: 'macaroni and cheese', it's, I think, again pasta ;)

Yes, it is pasta. It is pasta flavored with a horrible imitation of cheese sauce but it is still pasta.

It's pasta - it may be a totally American version but it's totally pasta (Italian style would use Parmesan or provolone) Hope you didn't loose to much on the bet.
