I don't think there is any "right" religion. Religions are made by man, not God.
God exists and wants a personal relationship with each human being. I believe He calls us individually and it is up to us as individuals to answer or not.
If there is a place called heaven..i.e. living in the presence of God...I don't think someone who does not believe in Him is likely to get there. I am not saying they are bad people..but it just seems logical that they would not if they did not believe in Him.

I kind of disagree. For you to be absolutely sure that you'll make it into heaven you must be a christian. And you have to accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior to go to heaven. Not just anyone gets into heaven by just being a good person. An atheist cannot make it into heaven even if they're good because they choose to believe that there is no God. You must have a close relationship with God and stand up for what's right. There is a God, he is the reason we are alive, if there wasn't then how did we get here. Not by some monkey.

Number 1, religion does not get one to heaven. I don't know if accepting Christ will get you to heaven but it will get your salvation. You asked what I think, I think you're confused. One can not pick and choose what to believe. If you believe in the Bible, any sector of it, then you must believe the entire doctrine. The Bible states that "Whosoever shall believe" speaking of belief in Jesus as Lord and Savior that the belief will get salvation. Being good won't get you into heaven, that's not what the Word of God says. One must do the will of God to get to heaven.

No, you do not have to have the right "religion" to get in. Religion is an organization developed by man and often abused for personal gain.
You do have to have the right "Faith" to get in. Faith is what people personally believe in their hearts... and Faith in Jesus *is* required. Sin cannot exist in the presence of God, the price of sin is death... and because Jesus is perfect, His death (and Resurrection) was able to pay the death price for all who choose to accept his offer. If one does not choose to accept the sacrifice that was made, then there is still a payment due... and no one but that person to pay it.

Your goodness or your works won't do it
you must be born again to enter into the Kingdom
maybe in God infinite wisdom, he will let you in some part, like the other courts but not to go into the Throne Room. you would miss out on a lot of awesome and wonderful things

I strongly believe that you have to accept him, because the bible states that,"I am the way,the truth and the life. No one comes through the father except through me,"(John 14:6) I don't know if aitheists and the other "good people" refer to the Bible.

Well, being a Christian, I know that our deeds, no matter how good they may seem, will never get us to heaven. God is so perfect and sin has marred us so much that we can't even begin to comprehend God's perfection, nor can we ever attain to reach it on our own, since it is so far above what our frail human minds can comprehend. To go to heaven, one must be free of sin, because sin separates us from God and is the total opposite of God's character. In heaven, sin does not exist, so one must be free of sin before entering heaven. It is impossible to reach sinlessness on our own. No matter how good a person is on earth, their works will never save them. Our own righteousness is as filthy rags to God, because, as I said before, God's requirement of perfection is unattainable on our own. But by accepting Christ's righteousness, our own sinfulness and imperfection is covered by Christ's perfect life. We are washed in His blood, cleansed from all unrighteousness (sin). After accpeting Christ, He can begin to transform us into His perfect character. We cannot in our own strength perform this transformation. We have to accept Christ's strength over our weakness.
I can guarentee you that no matter how hard you try, you will never reach God's standard of perfection that is free from sin on your own. Being sinless is REQUIRED for your entrance into heaven. That is why you have to accept Jesus, for in doing this, He covers your sins with the perfect life that He lived on earth, and then changes you over time, giving you a perfect character.
Now, I do believe that their will be people in heaven that have never heard the name of Jesus. God "winks" at our ignorance (Acts 17:30), so if a person has never had the opportunity to know Jesus and surrender their life to Him, then God will judge them accordingly. But if one has willingly and knowingly rejected Christ's free gift of righteousness, and chosen to remain steeped in their own sin, then they will be lost. It doesn't matter if they fed millions of starving children or were the worst criminal. One must allow Christ to "give for" their sins (forgive), meaning give them His righteousness and perfection.
I know this is a bit confusing, but I hope you understand. God bless, I'll be praying for you!
