The bible says " No man knows the DAY nor the HOUR that the Son of Man cometh"

So why did people think the rapture would happen on 7 / 7/ 07, I knew this would happen, God will come when we least expect him to come,

If we knew the day Jesus was come (Ex. Sept 8, 2007) then most people would sin until the time is near then everyone would come to christ but it doesn't work like that. We need to stop putting dates on when we THINK he is coming and just live the life according to his will, in Jesus Christ.

DIGITAL GHOST:

People keep making predictions because the day seems SIGNIFICANT, since June 6, 06 was thought to be an evil day (The Microchip was introduced publically), July 7, 07 would be thought to be a very good day thus resulting in the rapture but many are fooling themselves thinking that they know when the rapture will occur, the bible never say "People will know the day"

an exact date & time ....probably not, but we might be able to get pretty close ...
i want to give you several things to think about...

several scriptures say the LORD will come as a thief ...
but that is only for those who are not ready ...
this does not refer to born-again believers, & those who know the signs of the times Jesus spoke of (prophecy).

rev. 3 says IF you don't watch, Jesus will come as a thief...
if you aren't ready, you will not know what hour He comes....

rev. 3:3 - If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

1 thes 5 says only if you are in darkness (unsaved) will that day come as a thief......

for those of us who are born-again & knowing the times, He will not come as a thief... for we will EXPECT His return.......

1 thes. 5:4-5 - But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

in matthew 24, Jesus explains about satan's wrath (the great tribulation), His (Jesus') coming in the clouds & rapture of the church .....

He says we WILL know the generation of His coming....
when these things begin, this is the generation that will see His return......

matt. 24:34 - Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

we also know that the 2 witnesses are killed at the end of the great tribulation (satan's wrath) & that they lay in the streeets of Jerusalem for 3 1/2 days. they are then raptured in the sight of men for all to see. it is almost certain that their rapture parallels to the rapture of the church. this will be a world-wide media event, so we can come pretty close to the approximate time of the rapture of the saints.

as the time gets closer, we see prophecy more clearly ...
kind of like what corinthians says ...

1 Cor.13:23 - For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

There are crazies everywhere but please don't pin this on all Christians just because you've hear this from a sorted few crazies. Here we are on 7/9/07 and he isn't here. I'm Christian, I've been in church every Sunday for the last year and this is the first I've heard of this stupid 777 thing. Your sentence makes it sound like the entire world believes that, I think that it's a very sorted few.

Well obviously that day has come and gone..I never for one moment thought Jesus was coming just because of the 777...

I do think people think it's a Spiritual day, perhaps why so many married on that day...

As far as the Sinning, I don't necessarily agree that if I knew the actual day of His coming I would sin up to that moment....Jesus tells us to Follow Him and Sin no more, so once your a Christian you should follow His rules...

DECEPTION is the name of the end time game. Satan use wrong information to deceive people by creating confusions.

"No man knows the DAY nor the HOUR that the Son of Man cometh"

"No man knows the DAY nor the HOUR that the Son of Man cometh"

God said: "My people are perish because of lack of knowledge" -Hos. 4:6

What shall we do then??? Study.

Neither the word "rapture" nor the explicit doctrine are in the Bible.
The rapture doctrine is relatively young, created in the mid1800s by one John Nelson Darby.

You were right on! We should live according to how Jesus lived when He was flesh and blood on earth and that should give us a ticket on the "boat".

Then why do your people keep making predictions?
It's not the atheists predicting the "rapture."
