I've had stabbing pain in my ears on and off since March. It got less frequent but now it's back to an every day occurrence. I also think I hear ringing every once in awhile, which is a new 'symptom'. Any ideas?

Thanks for your answers. It doesn't hurt more if I touch the outer ear.

Does it hurt more when you touch your outer ear? ...feels like someone poking a sharp stick in your ear? -OWWWWWWW.

I get it too.

I went to the doctor and he said its caused by an inner ear infection. I use Auralgan ear drops.
