I have been looking up of starlings lately, and finding out that they can make exceptionally good and loving pets. I allready have a cockatiel that gets pretty agressive towards mirrors and other pictures of other cockatiels, but does fine looking at the house sparrows nesting outside. Will she or he (we have not really found out its gender)acept another bird living in the same house interacting with each other? And will i be going too much out of my way for another bird of a different species?

I have had a pet starling for 10 years and yes they are delightful. Mine has lived peacefully with my cockatiels during that time but there has never been any real interaction between them. I think that as a parrot and a non-parrot their social habits are just not similar enough. Starlings do no engage in mutual preening and such the way parrots do.
