actually I believe all souls are connected, and almost like one--the connection is stronger with some, weaker with others, but it is always there

We all know of an item known as a magnet.
Magnets attract various forms of metals (Elements).
This is an attraction of earths elements.
Many people are attracted to other people because of their elemental design. We see this in the world.
The Soul of man contains no earthly elements, it is pure.
The only thing attracted by the Soul is the qualities contained
in another Soul. These qualities can attract or repel.
If a person has good qualities within, these good qualities will recognize like qualities within another person.
It is best for man to find a mate that has good qualities and these two will blossom together.
All of this is dependent on an item in man known as "Wisdom". This is a valuable razor sharp instrument when forming a close relationship or recognizing when to dissolve a relationship.
May God give man the "Wisdom" to understand the clarity of their Soul.

Well lets consider a very logical approach to this. If you could lined up all the men on the planet in order there will be just one at the front who matches with you the best, then the next and the next and so on until you come to the end of the line and the man who is least suitable.
You know how good it could be to be with that first one don't you?

I Do believe in soul mates. I married mine.
My Grandma finally was reunited with hers after two children, one grandchild, three failed marriages and nearly 45 yrs. They have been together for nearly 20 yrs now. She refuses to marry him because "every man she marries runs off and she doesn't want to loose him again. She married 3 different guys after High School. One beat her the other 2 cheated on her but Don always loved her. All my kids and sis' kids call him Grandpa.

It seems to me some people are 'lucky in love', finding a person not unlike themselves in interests and outlooks, a person who is on equal footing, free of 'control issues.' and has a good sense of self esteem and self love already so it becomes two whole people sharing, delighting in life's adventures together, rather than two half's, trying to get the other person to make them whole. In this case, two half's don't make a whole, they make a mess. Two whole, happy, confident individuals coming together can have great fun together, be silent together, be apart with no worries of abandonment, (not because it will never happen but because you are both strong enough to handle changes if it should happen) Courage is an amazing gift to give yourself. It is very complimentary to Love..
Peace

No. I don't believe in twin souls or soul mates.
I believe that we can choose to feel connected to one another. We already are a part of everything around what we perceive as our self.

The Bible does not indicate that there is a specific spouse picked out for each person. It is impossible for us to fully understand the ways of God. We know that He knows us before we are even born. “I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my spokesman to the world” (Jeremiah 1:5). He knows what choices we are going to make, and knows whether we will turn to Him or not (Romans 8:29-30). He knows the number of hairs on our heads (Matthew 10:30). If we give ourselves to God, and seek His guidance, He promises to direct us. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6).
People often make choices that are against the will of God – Christians and non-Christians alike. Therefore if God had planned for us to be with one person only, and we miss the chance, then our life's plan would be ruined. But the Bible says that even the most “foolish” plan of God's is far wiser than the wisest plan a human could devise (1 Corinthians 1:25), which means His plan cannot be put off track. When we decide to make the choice to follow God, I believe He will put in our path the right people and the right situations that will mold us into the people that He wants us to be. Even if a Christian marries a non-Christian, God has the power to work miracles and change that person's life. We, as humans, get ourselves into the messiest positions, but God in His infinite wisdom and grace can dig us out if we seek Him.
