Honestly, the bible gives us nothing more than what you have written.

I can imagine that this created quite a stir around and about town!!
Makes one wonder how long they lived after this event, and if they were the same age as when they had passed away, and if some of their children were older than they were and so on.

Its one of those little tidbits of information that makes us want to know lots more, and i cannot wait to find out the rest of the story!!!

God states that all will be revealed, so I just have to have patience on this one and many others.

This is a difficult passage to translate.

The text at Matthew 27:52, 53 concerning “the memorial tombs [that] were opened” as the result of an earthquake occurring at the time of Jesus’ death has caused considerable discussion, some holding that a resurrection occurred. However, a comparison with the texts concerning the resurrection makes clear that these verses do not describe a resurrection but merely a throwing of bodies out of their tombs, similar to incidents that have taken place in more recent times, as in Ecuador in 1949 and again in Bogotá, Colombia, in 1962, when 200 corpses in the cemetery were thrown out of their tombs by a violent earth tremor.—El Tiempo, Bogotá, Colombia, July 31, 1962.

Balaam: I don't consider the day [Sunday] as being the focal point of this scripture. I believe the author was being inspired, as he wrote to have it read, with the emphasis being placed upon the fact, that Christ's victory over both, Satan and death, allows all humans the opportunity afforded to him or her to be resurrected from the death and the grave since He [Jesus] makes this possible by dying for us all. Paul reiterated the words, " oh grave where is your victory and death, where is your sting" !

That passage should be interpreted in a metaphorical sense. In the interpretation of dreams, when the dead are being resurrected, it is a sign that some righteous one has been protected and saved from death.

That righteous one was Jesus, peace be upon him, who did not die on the cross.

Nice inserting the word Sunday on your own.

Think about it. Sunday is the day you get dressed up to see and be seen when you go to your services. What better way to punctuate their showy resurrection by having the opportunity to look fabulous doing it!
