a friend of mine is going in for surgery on the 10th to have his pacemaker batteries changed. he tryied to assure me that he had many surgeries and not to worry but i just have a bad feeling about this one. i want to cast a spell for him to have a safe surgery and recovery. i think if i cast the spell it would not only protect him but make me feel reassured of his safty knowing that the goddess will look after him because of my request. so any help anyone can give me would be great! thanks in advance

10 is The Wheel of Furtune. What will happen, will happen. But it is also a symbol of the basics of majic, Image & Ordain. You don't need a spell dear, just meditate and send him possitive, healing energy, and Will a successful recovery for him.
If you are speaking of July 10th, it is nowhere near the full moon so the concern with bleeding complications is very low.
Your friend has already seen the out come of his surgery, and said (ordained) that it will come out fine. By you imagining a bad outcome, you are actually counter acting his possitive energy in the situation. Stop the negative imagery in your mind and visualize a good outcome, then SPEAK it to be true!

Make up a rhyming spell of your own stating what is to be done. Repeat this mantra over and over out loud. While chanting your spell/mantra, in your mind's eye see a white healing, protecting light surrounding your friend before, during and after the surgery. You can light a white and a blue candle if you wish for helping you focus. The white is for the goddess' protection. The blue is for healing. Do this until your friend is out of danger. You may have to reword your spell as the situation changes. The mantra has to come from your heart and spirit, lip service alone won't work. Good luck and blessed be.

The heart is the fourth chakra and it's color is green. Dress, anoint, and light a green candle while focusing your thoughts on the heart area of your friend and see them well and recovering after the surgery. Hold this image in your mind for as long as you can, when you start to feel distracted, extinguish the candle and clear your mind of the images. Always make sure the thoughts are of your friend healthy and happy. Do this once at least one a day, more so if you feel the need.

I don't think casting a spell against his wishes is the best idea. It could mess up the works, so to speak. Talk to the Gods, tell them your concerns, and ask for their protection over your friend but, I don't think a spell is the best thing. If you do decide to do this ASK FIRST!! Make sure you have his permission and knowledge.

Generally, its not considered to be good form to do spellwork for others without getting their permission to do so beforehand. I would suggest talking with the individual in question prior to doing something like this -- even if your intentions are honorable, there is a chance that the individual in question might not desire to have such an action taken on their behalf.
