There is no reason to believe that god or satan actually exist. Faith is the absence of reason. So faith is literally NO REASON to believe in god.

So, if you like to live your life without reason, be faithful. (see below)
Consider the following:

Kids, when they learn to speak, ask hard questions (like, where did the sun come from, or how old is the earth, or where does the moon go every month, etc.). It is important to have ready answers for such curiousity, and fairy tales fit the bill nicely. God is just another fairy tale to assist in child rearing (for one thing).

However, people do report on near death experiences (bright lights, hooded figures, tunnel) etc.

People also dream about how dead grandma spoke to them and gave them some advice. (Perhaps on a fast horse at tomorrow's race!)

People hallucinate during fever and see all sorts of things they try to relate to us later.

People imagine all kinds of things that go bump in the night.

Therefore, people speak to each other about all these things, and we tend to give them a name. God is a name for all things we have yet to describe! Or, perhaps, the expression "God Knows" says a lot!

People see things, (or imagine they see things), other people give them a name for what they saw, and they accept it as "god" or "satan".

Now, if you'd care to live your life with reason, instead of by faith, you might turn to science and history, and anthropology and other disciplines that describe the world in which we live.

The world I live in looks like this:

It is a world of geology.

It is a world that supports life, self replicating molecules.

Each species of living thing occupies an energy niche, and, when a species discovers an untapped energy niche, it evolves over time to take advantage of it.

Human beings are no different from any other living thing on the planet.

We have no spirit, nor anything "extra", beyond the chemical processes that keep us alive.

We do have our culture, language, technology. These items have removed us from the natural order. Our population is no longer in check, we are way out of control.

However, our technology is only an extension of our being living beings. That is, our biological imperative as a species is to efficiently occupy an energy niche.

Technology and culture and language are simply means whereby humans can occupy energy niches we wouldn't "naturally" be able to exploit.

That's why we've taken over the entire planet.

That's why we're doomed, since we cannot live sustainably.

I think this is the most common answer I'm going to keep giving on this board...

Because its belief. That's what religion is about. Belief. Christian believes in Satan, because they believe he works his evil through people, mainly non-Christians, to tempt them to sin and whatnot. And they believe that God works in mysterious ways, and sometime believe that they see him when something good or even "miraculous" happens to them. It's all believing in something. And when you believe in something, most of the time when it's religious or spiritual, or even supernatural, it's something you don't see or cannot see. Many people believe in ghosts, and sometimes they think they see them. Some people think aliens exist. It can go beyond religion, but this is a main point of Christianity. To believe in God is also to believe in Satan, for every good has to have an evil counterpart.

Your statement is not truth. I know people who believe both in God and Satan and they claim to have seen Satan...although I do not recall anyone ever saying that they have actually seen God. Not in the physical sense anyway.'

I have a personal relationship with my creator and have had a vision where I saw what I think I would characterize as God but it was not of a person...but rather a soft glow that seemed to draw me towards it.

No explanation and no preaching. Just the facts as I saw them.

You cannot see into the spiritual realm with our physical eyes, but we see Satan everywhere you turn. The wars going on, those who are against Christ. Ever wonder why more people attack Christians more than any other religion? Satan does not worry about religiously powerful Muslim, so he attacks the weak souls spiritually and in turn they attack us. Remember, he can and will come in any form he wants. He is the king of decievers, and even he himself believes in God. He knows the Bible front to back, in every translation, and knows how to twist the words of it around to deceive us all!

bro cuz u wanna know why bro? cuz God isn't here yet......he hasn't arrived for the whole world to take notice, to slap the devil and make the devil see he will always be the devil, but God (Me) will come and make sure the devil starts co-exisiting with the rest of us. And so then we will all see the devil and what he/she really is and we will all see God and all of us will see everything clearly. Don't worry. Just keep on believing bro bijoux we're gunna rape the devil together with the light cuz the devil HATES the light bro and it's an insult to hate the light. It's disrespect to hate the light. You have to see, God is the light and Satan is the dark. Thats why you can't see satan yet. But then......................THEN when the light shines on him you're gunna see the big red bastard for what he/she truly is and then we're all gunna know who's the devil of this world and who's actually...............well..........................i told you already man God

* * * I N D O C T R I N A T I O N ! ! ! * * *
( Kids get deprogrammed re Santa around age 6... If they didn't, they'd believe in Santa just like whatever 'God' has been brainwashed into their malleable minds. * sigh * )

This is the same reason for differences in space and time re beliefs... such as: If you were raised in:
Iran - you'd likely believe in Allah.
Japan - you'd adhere to Shintoism.
Togo - you'd be devoted to Mami Wata.
Israel - you'd be either Jewish or Muslim.
Norway circa 850 - you'd worship Odin and Thor.
Egypt circa 1 BC - you'd see Ra as the major 'God'.
( This should be a HUUGE Red Flag to any thinking theist. )

There are certain ways and means to see and feel things. To see or feel certain things you need certain technology to do that. It is also true for the spiritual beings. We need spiritual sight to see. It is best that we do not see it now but definitely we will see one day. That does not mean that do not have evidences of it. Yes people have evidences of the presence of Satan in different ways.

While I haven't laid eyes on Satan in the flesh. I know what he did to my adopted brother! Picked him up and drug him across the room and Threw against the wall! No one could see who or what was doing it to him. VERY SPOOKY! This took place in a minister's home in the presence of a child prophet who was the ONLY one who could see what was doing this to my brother.
my brother was 14 and his biological father was a cult leader who used to abuse him.
