That the Last Call Return feature didn't work properly. If is does work properly it will either give you the last number that called you or it will say that number is not available.
You need to call your phone company if that keeps happening and let them know. That is for most phone companies a Pay Per Use feature and even though it didn't work right, you still might be billed for it. Also make sure that is the right * code to do last call return, not every phone carrier uses the same * codes.

You should list your number with: donotcall.gov it is free and it works, it blocks all telemarketer calls for 3 years, then you'd have to renew.

It could also be a crazy person who tries to get on your nerves, dialing *67 and then your number. *67 blanks out the caller ID.
If this is the case, then call the customer service of your phone Co. and tell them about your problem, they will help you.

You got a call from an autodialler. There normally would be an annoying salesman there...but he or she is busy annoying someone else, and their companies entire staff if busy on the phone as well. If they hadn't been busy the call would have completed, and connected you to a person trying to make a living trying to sell you something you have no desire to buy...but will gladly tell you their 800 number in case you change your mind.

it happens a lot to me to.
I believe it is caused by the automatic dialer the telemarketers use.
since my phone is on the dnc list they may dial before they verify then disconnect.
only a guess.
