Yes, i totally agree with you!
SIN is not the issue - God has supplied the answer in Jesus.
CHOICE is the issue - God gives men free will/choice to choose what they need and want.
If they reject this gift, this is the only sin God sees.
It is this sin of unbelief that separates men from God.
Shalom!

I suppose it could. But I kind of think of sin as it affects how God acts as our defender against satan. Satan by his own mouth states in the book of Job that if a person is doing things God's way God then puts a wall of protection around them. And the more a person sins the more wall of protection is removed. It happens in these days too albeit not anywhere near as severe. And for dead certain Lack of faith is a stumbling block for entering heaven. God has said in Mathew that all manner of sin will be forgiven. But He can't make you have faith. Better said , He won't make you have faith.

Faith without works is dead; faith that excuses sin is presumption. Annas and Saphira were baptized church members, and did some secret scheming--they were killed on the spot during church service.
Yes, Jesus is our sufficiency and substitute, but He also enables us to have victory over sin. Otherwise, we would continue to sin that grace may abound.
There is a whole chapter in an on-line publication 666-the Mark of the Beast, that will detail how one is saved or lost. Select www.revelado.org/666.htm

I agree! Sin is the reason why men are separated from God (Isa. 59:2). But God has always He's remedies like what you've said about Jesus. The summary of the Bible is obedience. If we obey... blessing, if we disobey... curse.

The Bible tells us that we have all sinned, and are therefore separated from God (Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 3:23).

Does anyone agree?
Not when you say that "sin is not the issue" I don't agree. Sin is the issue. If you want to have a relationship with the Holy God of Heaven you have to deal with the issue that until you repent and come to Him through faith in Jesus Christ you are an object of his wrath because of your sins.
Ephesians 2:1 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience-- 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
You should ask God to give you his Holy Spirit and the faith to believe so that you can claim that forgiveness of sins and come before the throne of grace with confidence as a child before his or her loving Father.
Ephesians 2:4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ--by grace you have been saved-- 6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Luke 11:9 And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. 11 What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent; 12 or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account. 14 Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

yes i agree with you. its our own choice that really separate us from our GOD. He gave us freedom and the gift of salvation the only thing that we should do is to accept and have faith with GOD, its a easy but people are having hard time to analyze how much GOd loves us so much.

My spiritual beliefs and practices tend toward Buddhism. As such, what Christians refer to as a sinful nature separating one from God, I see as acts stemming from greed, aversion, and delusion(clinging to ego), each of which is a result of ignorance of reality as it is--ever changing and impermanent.

Agreed.
As for the one post, many of the vs, are as usual being taken out of context, and the whole story not given.
Good question just the same.
