Increase your activity. If you want to use weights or another exercise program, I would reccomend a trainer or knowledgable person to assist you. 6' 180 at 13? Not bad.

To lose a few pounds, you can modify your diet slightly.
Eat more fruits and veggies
Eat lean meat
Limit breads to whole grain
For snacks: apple, orange, pear, cherries, grapes, peach, nectarine.
Have two snacks a day.
Severely limit potatoes, corn, cream soups, butter, oil.
Avoid: desert, cake, ice cream, fried foods (including hamburgers) and french fries, soda unless no calories kind.
Most important: NO FAST FOOD. McDonalds, BK, and the rest are loaded with calories and transfat, they are the most fattening food in the country that you can eat. For many people, just quitting all fast food will let you lose weight.
Cardio exercise such as riding a bike, a brisk walk, swimming, combine with some crunchs will all help you slim down.
Good luck!

Run everyday (or 3-5 times per week) and I guarantee you will see a difference. Running is amazing for the body. Swimming is also really good because you work all of your muscles. It doesn't really seem like you have much weight to lose so simple things should help you tone. :-)

cardio.
things like running, biking, soccer, swimming, tennis, football, or other fast paced sports get your heart rate up and burn lots of cals.
things like weights will help afterwards to keep up your metabolism and tone you up!
and dont forget to eat healthy! im not saying diet, just keep in mind moderation. you dont want to undo whatever workouts you just did by eating 5 brownies if you get what i mean.
and lastly i know this pry isnt what you want to hear but if you only want to lose weight for a certain occasion the chance of getting it off and keeping it off are not nearly as high as if you were to simply set a weight loss goal. whatever the occasion though, try to keep your weight loss realistic, and good luck with your goal!

The only way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you consume. Try alternating cardio and weight-lifting.

Try Yoga, it works. You can buy a Yoga DVD, if you never practiced before, buy one for beginners. Good Luck.
