Does anyone know what it means if your liver function test or SGPT is elevated to 82 when the range is 30-65? I've tried looking it up on WebMD, etc. but I don't find the answer I'm looking for. Could it be caused from diabetes and/or high cholesterol?

I have the same thing. Your SGPT/ALT could be elevated for several reasons. Medications are the biggest culprit. In my case though I had been told I had a fatty liver and thats why my enzymes were elevated. A good website to get info is: atihealthnet.com/pages/labtests.html Good Luck!!!!
