put a BIG roller on your bangs (and your bangs only if thats the only place you want volume) and leave it there for about 20-45 minutes (this is if you arent using any product thats gives you volume. if you are, just leave the roller in there for about 15 minutes.)
this is sooo guaranteed.

Try a velcro roller (the big kind) but use bobby pins to secure it. Roll your hair up not down. Depending on the length of your bangs and the thickness of your hair, leave the roller on for 10-15 minutes. A little bit of voluminizing spray or gel might help but isn't necessary. Good luck.

Change your shampoo to Nexus and you'll be able to blow-dry your hair and maintain a beautiful shine. Additionally, when you blow-dry your hair, finish with cold air. It closes down the cuticle (outside) layer of the hair, and leaves it shiny. You'll find the Nexus products at salons.

A blowdryer might be what you have to use. You can also use a curling iron, or products that volumize your hair, like volumizing mousse. If you don't want to get your hair dried out and not shiny, use a conditioner after you wash your hair.

you could always use a curling iron. like a really big one. or you could use a flat iron and grab from the roots and pull straight out while rounding it. if that makes any sense. or tease them. but only at the roots.
otherwise you will have to use a blow dryer but if you use a round brush and a little shine spray... they wont look drab. they will be shiny.good luck!

put the rest of your hair in a ponytail, and put ur head upside down(while your hair is wet) for. .well until its totally dry, run your fingers through it as it dries and kind of tossle it, this will add volume once your head is upright again

When you straighte them, instead of straightening it to the side, straighten them like you would if you had across bangs(pull them out to the front with the flat iron) and then push them to the side.
