John 3:5-6 No one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

Acts 2:38-39 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off-for all whom the Lord our God will call."

To answer the question of required age for baptism, you need to clarify which denomination you are inquiring about. Catholics baptize infants due to original sin and to invite them into the Church as early as possible. Other denominations believe that one must be old enough to understand and be saved( accepted Jesus as their personal saviour)to make that decision.
However, it is important to remember that many of the traditions and teachings associated with baptism are not included in the Bible because they are part of the Early Church history( by people Jesus selected).

No a baby is not accountable for what he does not know and no where in the bible does it consist of babys being baptized,Jesus was our prime example you have to be able to come to the decision yourself of accepting the Lord Jesus Christ and just because your mother aotr father accepted the Lord and were born of water and spirit,then had you thought that you dont have to be baptized ?wrong you have to make the decision for your self, and it did help for your parents to be born again because of that that means you will come into the kingdom of god the seed of the righteous is redeemed from destruction so the Lord already knows what decesion you will make.Be Blessed on your journey

Baptizing babies removes the stain of original sin. If they follow thru with their religious education then they will make their confirmation to the Lord when they reach the appropriate age.

After coming into this life, you have to reach the age of accountability, then you have to repent of your sins then you get baptized if you are able;

BUT

no baptism until you get saved. Otherwise you go down a dry devil and come up a wet one.

Immersion must be according to that found in Matthew 28.

No. You need to be able to repent. Babies have little to repent for much less the ability.
