I refer to centuries and generations ago.

And what do you follow? What do you suppose they would think of you?

For the last 500 years, my family has lived in Punjab and belonged to the Sikh faith - before that they were Hindus of the same area. My parents moved to the states before I was born.

Most of my family was probably Christian. They originated from different parts of Europe, so it's quite likely that they may have had more of a Pagan faith even farther back. There were others who were Native American, so they would have followed a Native American faith before they converted. Most of my family (if not all) today is Christian, but I'm Pagan.
My Christian ancestors would very likely think that I'm going down the wrong path, but any others would likely be more accepting of what I've chosen.

Working backwards..
I'm an atheist
My parents were Roman Catholic
2 grandparents were Roman Catholic, 1 Anglo Catholic and 1 Lutheran
Beyond that pre-reformation they would all have been Roman Catholic. Prior to the conversion of northern Europe to Christianity it would have been a mix of Norse and Celtic pagan.

I think most of them would find atheism, on the basis of the understanding we have of our universe, the only rational and logical choice.

I'm full-blooded Italian, and my family's been Roman Catholic for many, many centuries. I suppose that before that point, they would've been Pagans of some description, but Catholicism has been a part of the Italian cultural landscape for ages.

I really don't know past my great grandparents. Mom's grandparents said that they were Christians, but they were KKK. It is probably best that I don't know much about them. Mom's parents didn't really believe in God much until my aunt died of a mysterious illness as a small child. Then, He was the uncaring, evil force to blame for their suffering. Grandma came to a play at the Baptist called "Heaven's Gates & Hell's Flames". It changed her. She started to go to church, and became a Christian. That was about 1999 or 2000. Grandpa still won't come to church.Mom just went to church for my brother and me until God tuched her and she became a Christian. As for Dad's side, I know that Grandma's parents at least went to a Christian church, but I don't know if they were Christians. I don't really know much at all about Grandpa's family. He was a hard man, but was soft when I knew him. They say he became a Christian at the end of his life. He died when I was four, but many people say that I am very much like him. I always was a "Grandpa's Girl". Grandma was a Christian the whole time I knew her. She died almost a year ago. Dad didn't really go to church much in his adult life until a couple of years ago. We have split denominations in our home, but we are Christians. There were probably many Athiests in my family because there are a number of them now, and many more "non-religious" people. I'm training to be a missionary, and it makes most of them upset and the others don't understand me. Most prefer to be good people, but not too much into "religion".

Most of my family were Druids. A few on my father's side were Jewish and some were Catholic.

I follow Yeshua the Christ. I don't know what any of my ancestors would think of me now. I would like to think they would love me for who I am.

My ancestors were mostly European, so in all likelihood they were Christians like me...except they were probably better Christians. ^_^0

German/Scottish/Irish. They were probably Heathens at one point, monks and missionaries at another point.
