"Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15)"?...
Or should we "not go around preaching", as SOME would have us to do?

I think Peter had it right when he said,
"We must obey God rather than men!"

For sure we should preach the gospel to every creature. All will someday, someway, somehow, bow to Jesus Christ and honor and praise Him. "He died for the sins of the WHOLE world" and "love never fails". We should not limit the power of God and salvation to a few.

He was talking to people who'd heard the Truth from His own lips. I don't think Christ was talking to every person born millennia after his death. I've never quite understood why people assume that.

As near as I can figure, the messages that Christ gave to the masses (that would be us) are "Love one another," to forgive ("turn the other cheek"), and be charitable (if you have 2 cloaks, give one to a man who has none). A lot of what people preach was never written down as being said by Jesus. They're preaching Paul and others -- but mainly Paul -- and not Christ.

If Jesus said that, the gospels had not been written at the time, so he must have been talking about the Jewish Torah. He certainly wasn't talking about the New Testament which didn't exist at the time. Jesus certainly would not want anyone to preach the nonsense that the Christians use to replace a sane approach to life.

We should go around preaching in some form, even if it not like preaching like a preacher! Telling lost friends/family members is preaching the gospel and is something we should do.

I personally find it's better to preach God's ideas of love and forgiveness by doing so than saying His name...please note half of the world's problems throughout history stemmed from religion...I would rather ones faith be personal and not be preached...it's part of the problem with terrorism, isn't it?

The problem is that there are hundreds of gospels. The ones in the bible were selected by Christianity because they serve their purpose. They deleted the ones that don't. You are not getting the full story.

Is Mark Jesus Christ? Preach what you think you can if you think you have learned if not then you are learning not teaching.

Our living should be a testifying of Him. Preaching at people people and speaking forth are different. But ultimately, our living should do the talkin', not just our speaking.

that is the reason why Jehovah´s witnesses dedicate too much time preaching the good news of God´s kingdom.
