If you are allergic you need to go see a doctor ASAP.

Otherwise take on OTC antihistamine and ice the area. If it is still swollen 48 hours after sting, go see a doctor.

Orally take antihistamine like Benadryl (Diphenhydramine) it's cheap and good to have around.

Topically use a steroid cream (cortisone).

I'm seriously allergic, my throat swells up and ****. I haven't always been, it used to just swell up like you explained. Allergies can develop or get worse as one ages, so maybe tell your doctor so he can prescribe you an Epi-pen.

What you need to take for the swelling is Benedryl. I hope this will help and I hope you will feel better.

Antihistamine tablet such as polaramine will help - if this doesn't you may need steroids.
