hahaha I feel totally stupid asking this question... Jeeze... I know the answer is no, but with all the science in 21st century I figured what the hell I might as well see if someone has something out there I don't know about.
I have dog, and about 6 years ago my ex took my dog without my knowledge and got him fixed. So now hes grey, getting up there in years, and I want a pup from him haha. Is there anything out there in the wide wide world I could do to get this dog with another dog so I can get a pup (Im talking using lab, cloning, whatever ha)? He has no balls I know, and I know that it isnt possible, but as I said I know they have made big leaps in humans in such an areas, just don't know if they made "that" big of a leap haha.

Your ex didn't ruin your dog, she made a medical decision that may end up saving his life in the long run. However, even if you were able to breed him, there is no guarentee the puppies will come out just like him (or even a little like him in temperment), your best bet would be to see if his parents have had litters recently.

Yes. Texas A&M can try to clone your dog... I don't know if the price is still in the millions of dollars or if the price has come down to the tens of thousands... However, if you have that much money ....
Anyway, if they clone the dog, or even if it were possible for pups.... the news dogs would not be the same as your current dog, because you raised your dog under specific circumstances that have changed.
I suggest you go to a Rescue organization and get a pup that is similar to your current dog, and raise it ... It may turn out better than a cloned dog would.

I believe they are cloning dogs, however I am not sure if they are still experimenting or if they are offering services to the public. It would cost you an arm and a leg - I would guess 5-10,000 dollars.
Why not visit your local shelter and pick out a dog. I am sure that you could find one with the characteristics that are similar to your dog.
And your ex did not "ruin" your dog by getting him neutered. He did the best thing for the dog. Unneutered males are often aggressive (meaning he wouldn't be the sweet thing that you know now!), territorial, they pee/mark on everything, and they are at a much higher risk of cancer (which might mean that by this point, your dog could have died/would be dead because of testicular cancer).
I hope you consider adopting from a shelter and saving a pet's life. The clone would look identical to your dog, but it would not act the same. And I see disappointment in there. Save a life.
Adopt - spay and neuter.

Even if he was fixed, his offspring wouldn't have the same personality. I know because my husband had 2 dogs when I meet him (one male, one female, both pure breed of the same breed) and we now have 5 of their kids, and each one has their own distinct personality.
And when they cloned a cat a few years ago, the clone didn't even look like the original, so even cloning isn't a guarantee.
I say enjoy him while he is here, morn him when he is gone and don't be in too much of a hurry to get a new one, because you can't replace him. But when you are ready to get a new dog, go to the ASPCA.

Pick out a puppy similar to the older dog you have now. You will grow to love this puppy. Especially if you get him neutered. You can't get live sperm from a dog that's been neutered but they are making great strides in DNA to find out the exact mix that your dog is. Ask the vet for a DNA test and get another puppy of the same breed. If it's a purebred, just buy him and get him neutered. Simple... :o)

Even if you could, it would be very expensive and they probably wouldn't let you take the pup out of the lab since these proceedures are still in the environmental stage. Sorry, your just going to have to get a pup from another dog.

If you want a pup from your dog because of its temperment and other great qualities, you might want to trace the bloodline and try breeding from a close family member of your dogs. Many times you can find a sister or brother or parent of the dogs and hope that one of them isn't fixed.

I think you can get your dog cloned, however, it will cost over $10,000.
It wont be "just like your dog" tho.. even a pup from your dog wont be like your dog. The personalities will be completely different.
If he's a purebred and you know who is breeder is, you may be able to get a dog that is closely related, maybe an offspring from one of his littermates.

If you have a LOT of money to spend, I am sure there is a way, but it's going to cost you.
