If you are not suffering from genetic hair loss then try:
1. Coconut Oil: Massage unrefined coconut directly into the scalp. This is inexpensive.
2. Get a slight hair trim. Do it yourself, use a quality pair of shear. This cost $8 to $15 dollars. Try Sally's Beauty Supply.
3. Start Washing your hair more. Use Beauty 4 Ashes Super Gro Shampoo and Conditioner. It works well because it has all the natural oils, extracts, and vitamins in it that you need to make your hair growth. It seems expensive, but to buy all the ingredients separately that you get in their products would break the bank.
4. Start Drinking Aloe Juice. You can pick it up from GNC or Walmart for $5 to $8. Aloe Juice comes flavored you don't have to drink it straight up.
5. Get at least 6 hours of sleep, take a multiple vitamin high in Vitamin B, and keep chemicals and excessive heat away from your hair.
Lots of people grow long natural hair all over the world without perms, so can you, especially if you are not genetically balding.

Hair takes time to grow, but nevertheless, your hair can grow and you can increase your hair growth rate by using several natural remedies.
Although there are many skeptics of 'natural' hair growth tips, I even use to be one, if you use some of them and have great internal health...your hair can grow. You can't just snap your fingers, rub a tree, and make your hair grow.
My hair grows about 3/4 to 1 inch a month now since I have been using these tips. Hopefully, some of them can work for you.
1) Take a B Complex and Amino Acid supplement daily. Make sure your amino has L-Lysine.
2) Eat a lot more lean protein,i.e. fish, eggs, chicken, and turkey.
3) Lower your salt, sugar, and alcohol. You need to keep your body hydrated so your scalp stays replenished with the natural oils it needs grow. These three things do the exact opposite.
4) Try an all natural hair growth product. I have tried Nioxin and Inhairit. But, I have seen the best results with Beauty 4 Ashes hair growth products. I bought some Beauty 4 Ashes hair growth products off Ebay not too long ago and fell in love with my results. Plus, I was applying coconut, olive, vitamin E, and rosemary to my scalp to stimulate hair growth, but was able to stop this intensive regimen once I bought Beauty 4 Ashes shampoo, conditioner, and mist. (Their products contain all these herbs for hair growth and a whole lot more.) Their website is wwwdiscoverb4acom.
5) Drink a protein shake daily.
6) Do not cut your hair unless you must. Cover your hair at night to prevent split ends and use as little heat on your hair as possible.

Pre-natal vitamins, or try using that horse shampoo and conditioner they sell, it's called tale and mane. I know they have it at Wal Mart. My sister had to cut her hair short last year, her kid put gum in her hair! She used that shampoo and cond. and her hair is to the middle of her back now.
