Ok, so I've gotten the house breaking down on my puppy... however, Our other dog, who is 9 months, has now decided he don't want to go outside, and is spraying things, and peeing inside... No clue what to do, we keep cleaning it, telling him no, taking him outside, rubbing his nose in it... and nothing seems to work...

We do not crate train our dogs, never had, so please do not tell me to try that, when I first got this puppy we tried, it didn't work, and we didn't like it... So that option is totally out... So other then that, what are our options?

None of our other dogs have ever had this problem... Why I'm asking for help... :(

Crates don't work for all dogs, get over it, let it go... just because you cage your dog, vs telling them no don't make you a better person... rubbing their nose in it has worked for years, so if you don't like that, sorry, abusive my butt, I'm not hitting my dog, or beating them, I would never, my animals are spoiled, some say thats wrong, if you don't like it, or like what I asked you didn't have to respond...

People do things different, I believe crate training is wrong, abusive and not nice, you don't think otherwise, so end of file...

i use to have the same problem with my bischion frise and this worked those doggy pads you lay on the floor! and they just go to that cause it has a scent. then if you put it ouside they'll start going to it outside! you can find them at walmart or target in the animal aisle..
hope this works!!

Telling him no and rubbing his nose in it is abusive. Taking advantage of natural behaviors and crating him appropriately is good dog ownership. If you don't like crate training, it's probably because it wasn't explained to you correctly. I'd recommend Dr. Ian Dunbars "AFTER YOU GET YOUR PUPPY", which covers all aspects of housetraining and other behavior prevention.
Your older dog is neutered? If not, he will naturally begin to mark territory at his age. Also, he could be smelling where the puppy had accidents and now thinks its OK to go inside too.

Put the dog on a leash and keep it with you all the time - that way you will always know when the dog has to "go".

Don't rub the dog's nose in it - it does not work and that dog has no idea why you are doing it.

you have some truly good suggestion right here. My dogs became residing house-knowledgeable via 8 weeks, yet we nonetheless had to be very observant. doggies can not carry on as long as canines so each and every 2+ etc hours (4 for grownup) a bypass to exterior is a could, even whether that's previous due. The smaller the dogs the greater issues that way too. as quickly as my dogs sniffed interior, before the leg lifted, etc. we had a run to the returned door, so he learnt very immediately what became expected. there became constantly adequate newspaper in front of the door for injuries, and we in no way scolded him for that, because of the fact it became obvious it became our fault for no longer getting him out in time, no longer his. canines respond greater to compliment than a telling off, which commonly in basic terms serves to confuse them each and every now and returned. My dogs began to "knock" on the returned door to bypass out, which grew to grow to be greater continual if we did no longer circulate it right now away, yet my mothers in basic terms stands there and looks at it, so which you're able to be alert. Yours sounds somewhat perplexed, so communicate taking what he does exterior and permit him see you working it exterior - He could get the message that way. the belief of leaving #2s exterior the place you go with him to lavatory is incredible, and whilst he does it there thousands of compliment!!! Use one observe for the two #1s and #2s, we used "company," as an education, a small pat, no longer as a harsh observe, every time and he will quickly associate the observe with what's needed. in the crate, "company" and whilst he does "good Boy," great pat. persistence is a distinctive function and it works!
