No human multivitamins for dogs! They have totally different nutritional needs than humans. You can get vitamin supplements for puppies & dogs at your pet store or through your vet.

There could be a ton of reasons your puppy doesn't like her food. The batch you have could be spoiled, or something in that particular brand doesn't agree with her. Try switching to a different food if that is possible. Maybe something is wrong with her teeth. A vet check to rule out any health issues is a good idea. Or, you could have trained her to be fussy. Once your vet has given her a good bill of health, and you've changed the food, stick to a schedule. Ask your vet about feeding small puppies (frequency, amount, etc).

Make sure you aren't feeding a bunch of treats in between meals. She could be full of other stuff and just simply not have room for her meals. Since dog treats aren't nutritionally balanced, you want to ensure you don't give her too much of them instead of her food. 2-3 treats a day should be enough and they should be small treats suited to the size of dog you have.

No - do not give her a human multivitamin! That is not safe.

Take her to the vet, and be certain that she is healthy. Then:

Keep trying with the food. If she won't eat it, pick it up and try again at next mealtime. Do not let her train you by offering her treats. Get her eating well and then you can use treats for training (don't just give her treats for no reason.)
A dog will not let herself starve. Skipping a meal is not bad for her.
What are you feeding her?

Theres a reason she's not gaining weight. Has she been vet checked yet been dewormed? Vitamins won't make her gain weight. Only use vitamins for dogs--their needs are very different from a humans. Most dogs do not need vitamins as their dog food contains more than enough, and adding more throws nutrition out of balance. I'd get her a check up.

Try the canned pedigree kind, my dog got tired of her food and I switched to that, she just loves it, There's different flavors, My dog likes the chicken. Also you might want to get your dog some calcium to take if she is PG. Make sure you get the pet store dogie calcium, and not the human kind. They need the calcium so they will have enough milk when the pups are born.

Take her to the vet ASAP - puppies don't eat unless they are not feeling well. As for vitamins, babies and puppies need different types of nutrients.

how long does your jap spitz been eating dog food? my vet would recommend try feeding her canned cat food, just to get back her appetite. then after a couple of days or three, return to her usual feeds or buy her canned dog food. try to add some milk too. but still the best way to make sure, bring her to the vet.
