I killed a deer once, and it was a very bad thing.
It caused about $2000 in damage to the front of my car.

For anything to live, something else must die. The Animal Nazis will make up all sorts of reasons why killing/eating animals is bad, spouting any soundbite they can without regard to science. IMO>Killing your own food is more honorable then paying someone to do it for you. It also teaches the value of life and of using what you have, wasting less. The question is not why does someone hunt but why doen't they.
If you recently married someone who "doesn't get it", I'd be concerned she is an anti-hunter and not just a non-hunter.
Camo her up, grab the cameras and go take her up a tree some afternoon.

Its not a bad thing. My wife does not like hunting either but she does not care if I go. She will not eat the meat but she will cook it for me and our son. She is also letting me teach the kids to hunt, my son has thinned down the dove population around our house with his pellet gun. Like I said she does not like it but then again she does not go and I don't force the issue.
I would not look too much into it. When it all boils down do you love your wife or hunting more. I would pick my wife over hunting any day and she knows that, maybe that is why she does not mind me hunting.

Did you know before you married her that she was a non-hunter*? Regardless respect her beliefs and personal preferences in regards to her not being open to experiencing it*.....If she is closed minded to it, then just accept it*..... Hunting and killing a Deer is not a bad thing*... When it comes to those who choose to hunt, it is neither right or wrong, bad or good, it is what it is*....{HUNTING*}

No it's not a bad thing as long as you eat your kill. My father and mother have been hunting for as long as I can remember.
She might not get it because she doesn't see the sport of it. You could always take her with you sometime, however that doesn't always go over well. Maybe just explain to her about the over population of deer and how it's good that hunters go out and regulate it. It's not like it's a lie or anything. She might rather them die quick then to starve to death during a cold or bleak winter.
Good luck

There is nothing wrong with deer hunting if you actually eat the meat. Here in NC we have an over-population of deer and everyone that I know has hit one in their cars. The government has even released coyotes to try and control the population.
I don't like to hear that someone has just killed the deer and not eaten the meat but I totally agree with killing deer to eat the meat.

When I was in first or second grade I cheated on a test.I was going to turn my spelling test in and saw my neighbor's paper on the way. I did not get caught but felt so guilty I told my mom. It didn't work out for me anyway because I still put the apostrophe in the wrong place. I guess I was just nervous. I can honestly say I never cheated again.

where I'm from hunting is needed because the deer would just starve to death during the winter or they would cause way to many car accidents... and think about it if the animal died from either of the ways that I've listed that meat would just rot at least you get a couple of free meals out of the sport...

Natives only take from the land what the land gives them. Meaning they took just as much as it took to survive. If you are keeping the meat then in my opinion its ok. Ive been hunting for a few years myself and I would never shoot a deer and not take the meat.

Deer cause numerous traffic accidents and fatalities every year. By hunting deer, you are helping to lower auto insurance rates for everyone and also helping to safe human lives and reduce human suffering.

No, hunting is not bad. It is bad for tyrants to put deer far ahead of humans and try to dictate to us about hunting. Down with PeTA and all other tyrants and mindless fanatics. Someone said to take your wife hunting. that is a good idea. Debate the matter logically too, so each of you can see the other person's viewpoint. I hope she will "get it" soon.
