My bf found 3 baby sparrows that had been sitting outside his work for 3 days before bringing them home. They have their feathers, flying a little (but not very well) and their eyes are well open and they chirp.
At the moment, he is feeding them a mixture of mealworms and water and is feeding them through a syringe 3 times a day.

Can anyone please give advice as to how much, how often these guys should be fed? Is there anything else that they should have (ie. bowl of water for bathing, drinking, food - if so, what sort of food?)

ANY advice would be awesome. Thanks in advance :)

In response to GPcrazy:

The birds were in the same spot, on a busy street for THREE DAYS. Their nest was also on the ground.
I do know that the mom does not leave their babies in the same spot for a number of days.

well i used to have some sparrow eggs and i got some mean comments about that before lol. but i think your boyfriend should have left them there, unless they were definetely abandoned which may be the case, but if the sparrows are actually eating the food, keep feeding them about 3-4 times a day. it shouldn't be long until you can finally set them free. baby birds usualy leave the nest when they seem pretty young, its amazing to watch. and actually theres a nest under our deck right now with some baby sparrows that are ready to leave.

You should have left them there. The mom pushes them out of the nest to teach them how to fly. She comes down to the ground to feed them.
