It depends on the size and health of the dog.
Generally, the larger the dog, the shorter their life span.
Small dogs (ie. chihuahua) can live up to 18 years.
Mid sized (ie. Cocker Spaniel) live up to around 16 or so..
Large breeds (ie. Labrador Retriever) - around 14
X-Large Breeds (ie. Great Dane) - 6 or 7 years
Bear in mind that the life spans above is only average. It all depends as well, the health of your animal and how well you work to keep his/her lifestyle healthy (ie. vet checks, GOOD quality food, and keeping his/her life happy and fulfilling)
In addition, pure breeds are more likely to be afflicted with disease such as hip dysplasia in large dogs, etc. I am not sure as to how or why, but cross breeds seem to be affected less often by disease/disorders often found in one of their purebred parents.

Anywhere from 10 to 15 yrs is the average. It does however depend on the breed and size of the dog. Bigger breeds don't live as long as the smaller breeds do. Although I have known a few exceptions, and have seen big dogs live to 15 yrs.

Well, it really depends on the kind of dog. Bigger dogs tend to live a shorter time then the littier dogs do.
Example:
Great Dane, Irish Wolf Hound, Masstif = 8-12 years of age
Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, Chesepeke Bay Retriever = 10 - 14 years of age
Lhasa Opsa, Maltese, Havenese = 10 - 16 years of age
I hope that this answers you question!

Giant dogs (Great Danes and so ) live under 10 years
Large dogs (Labs, Goldens) live about 12 years
Small dogs (beagles, terriers) live about 15 years
Toy dogs can live as long as 21 years.
Mutts and hybrids can live 15 - 20 years. A lean dog WILL live about 2 years longer than an overweight or sedentary dog.

It depends on the breed. Small dogs tend to live longer. I heard of a toy poodle living to 20-something. Labs average is about 7-10 years. Personally I think mutts live longer.

Large breeds live from 10-13 years on average and
Small breeds can live 15-18 years or more.

It depends on the breed. Smaller dogs live longer than bigger ones, but I would say 8-20 years.

It is tough to pinpoint this answer because different breeds have different life expectancies, but 10-15 years is a good range. For instance, pugs live to be 12-15 years old, labs live to be 10-12. My mom's pekapoo is almost 17 years old!
