A dane rescue would be the best way to go but keep in mind the adoption process for a dane can be long and drawn out and often as thorough as a child adoption. Most insist the dog have a fenced yard and live inside, some even insist on unannounced visitation after approval. If you really want a dane I suggest saving up some money first because the cheapest I have found one for was 600 from a not so good breeder and even if you can find one cheap if it gets sick meds cost more for larger dogs. Good luck finding your pup!

Great Danes, are a little harder to find as puppies for $350.00 , as they get older some people will sell them cheaper, but a lot won't start training, so which means you will have a harder time potty training, leash training and whatever else.
The other thing is, if you can't afford a GOOD SOUND DANE, you shouldn't get one, because you are looking at health problems later on. Danes cost a lot of money to feed, vet bills etc..
Also, please do your research on the Great Dane Breed BEFORE selecting your Great Dane..
Good luck

That's not a very good picture. You can't see his face, his body posture etc! Looks are nothing without papers. If you want a pedigree then you must get papers! Training is no different in a Dane then it is in a Chihuahua. Toileting is the same - take out every 3-4 hours, 30 mins after feeding. Basic obedience- straight away NO jumping up, sitting on lap, on furniture etc as they get big and strong!!

I know with Golden Retriever pups you will pay more then 350.00 so I assume Great Danes are not any different. Here is a link for Great Dane Rescue in your area.
http://www.gdca.org/rescue.htm
Just scroll down when you open the page and you will find your state. They serve the new England Area..
Good Luck

Great Danes are a definite breed to research before getting one. Please research this breed if you have not already done. Make sure you know what you are getting yourself into.
I am not putting down the breed, I love danes. But their size can make them difficult for some people to handle and feed, and medical bills can be quite significant due to common medical problems we see with the breed.
To answer your question, if you don't have alot of money to spend, find out if there are great dane rescues in your area.
You can find some wonderful danes in rescues.

*We have a blue great dane puppy and what a lug he is! He's so gentle and precise but doesn't truly gauge his size!

A good quality great dane with a health certificate from a reputable breeder will be much much much much much more expensive than 350. Try petfinder.com or animal shelters

That is kind of a low price for a Dane. Food and medical bills for a dog that size can be very high.
