Well, if there is 1 male and 1 female in the house, why should the male have to do what the female wants. If she wants it down then just piddle on it . She has no right to have it all her own way. You blokes are wimps.

Men sometimes need the toilet seat down too, you know...

But really, couldn't give a damn myself. I personally find it no problem whatsoever to lever the lid into the most useful position, and I'm sure my boyfriend couldn't give a damn either. Why on Earth are people so uptight about such a trivial matter?

Leave the seat down afterwards.
1. Men should show extra deference (I know, that's redundant) toward women.
2. It hides the spray on the toilet bowl edge that you failed to wipe off
3. It hides the scum buildup under the bowl rim that, in all probability, she will regularly clean and not you.
4. It is never a good idea to annoy the wife. You will always lose.

The whole point is to not have to touch the germy underside or edge of the seat to put it up or down. We don't want to touch the toilet! That's why we wear gloves when we clean it. The same goes for filling up the toilet paper. If you use it up , you fill it up, not the next person.

Yes it is but the purpose of a toilet lid is to prevent particles of poo and wee escaping into your living environment when you flush - its a hygene thing - put the seat down and close the lid.

Sure, it's as easy.
The issue, however, is far larger, and deals with women seeing men as basically lazy about housework.

I solved the problem when I bought my first house. I got a house with more than 1 toilet.

I refuse to clean a bathoom used by a man, or share a bathroom with a man. They splash when they pee, and it begins to stink when they don't clean it often enough. It's disgusting.

If men sat down, they'd want the seat down also!!!

Of course it's as easy but it's not a question of that. Lid down is much more hygienic and looks better too. It's got a lid, use it!

Yes, but i live in an all female family so we would never leave it up.

If there were more males in the house that females i wouldn't mind leaving to seat up.
