It can take a week a month.. It just varies on how severe they are being moved/fixed... You'll probably feel a difference before you notice a physical change.. If your teeth/jaw become sore or it's painfull to eat. Or it actually feels like your teeth are all loose and about to fall out.. All are good signs just remember to brush/take care of you mouth..

I had a tooth in the front that was just...totally not where it was supposed to be. I got my braces on, came home and went to bed because the process was annoying and exhausting; and when I woke up, the tooth had moved enough for me to be able to tell (and feel -__-) a difference. Also, per my request, my orthodontist shortened my time with braces by about 8 months by doing some processes quicker. Like the movement of that tooth ^ could've been spread out over two months, but I asked him to do it in one. The amount he tightened the wire made the time difference. I've had my teeth move enough for me to notice before I got home from the orthodontist before. I didn't notice a difference in my singing voice, it just took me a while to get used to the way they felt when I was singing. Braces feel awkward for a while, to say the least. If you're paranoid like me, you'll forget you have them and wake up in the middle of the night freaking out because "Oh my gosh, something is in my mouth." They don't hurt too bad, but be assured that ice cream and pasta will be your friend for a day or so after you first get them on. And stock up on dental wax, too. The wires irritate the insides of your lips, and you'll want that on hand to fix them.

Your braces work their magic slowly. It also depends on the reason why you have braces; a typical reason is because of an overbite. Ask your dentist how long he/she plans to keep the braces on your teeth. An average period to have braces is 1-2 years, but it can vary depending on the person. The longer the period, the longer it might take.

Probably in a month or so.
Don't worry, soon you'll forget how your teeth looked like before you had the braces! :D
