I have a lot of tape residue stuck on my arm, it is very sticky and i have no idea how to get it off besides rubbing and hurting my skin. Any solutions or substances i could use that would make this process easier? Thanks!

I had eye surgery 1 week ago and had to wear a patch taped over my eye for several days. How can I remove the tape's residue from the area immediately surrounding my eye? Have tried baby oil & coconut oil. Do I need to let it soak for a while? Is it safe to add a small amount of baking soda (as some have suggested?) or baby powder? I have already irritated the surface of my skin. Please advise soonest!

Hello, The tape residue on your arm can be removed quite easily with any substance with an ethyl alcohol such as Oops and Goof Off which can be purchased at Home Depot.Any paint thinner and you could even try nail polish remover as well as rubbing alcohol. I use these products to remove gum and any sticky thing from clothing. But if you have any cuts, you might try ice which would be safer. Read the labels. Good luck.

I recently had surgery and I couldn't wash the sticky substance off. I found two things that worked. One was alcohol. It did a pretty good job. The other I found by accident. I had bought a bottle of Caress liquid soap. That stuff was the bomb. I couldn't believe it just took it right off without any scrubbing.

Nail polish remover-- yes it does work. Or maybe try Avon's Skin so Soft it works on so many things, keeps mosquitoes away, takes gum off clothes and hair, and has so many other uses. Also the Skin so Soft won't hurt you, actually it will make your skin softer

Rubbing alcohol might sting, but probably will work.
I would use moisturizer.
Butter or margarine would work, and probably dish soap.
Also, here it is again...Avon bubble bath.
Good Luck and Get Well Soon.

just take some rubbing alcohol and rub it with a cotton ball over the glue leftover from the tape. if that doesn't work- squeeze an orange on to a cotton ball and rub that on the glue.

Rub "oil" on the effected area. Any oil base will work: baby oil, vegetable oil etc
