my house isn't infested so a fogger isn't necessary....i've dealt w/ infestations before and this is nothing in comparison. I wouldn't have even known he had fleas if i hadn't combed him. I've seen only 3 fleas in the last few weeks.

You will continue to see fleas for a few weeks yet. The Frontline doesn't repel, so newly hatched fleas will continue to jump on your cat until they all die off.
They don't have to bite the animal, just come into contact with it's coat. It takes about 24 hours to die.

Frontline will work. One thing you should also do is treat your house. A quick, inexpensive way is to sprinkle regular table salt on your carpet and furniture. Leave it on for a day or two, vacuum, and then retreat. Do that for about a week or 2 and you should get rid of the fleas. As the eggs hatch they will eat the salt and die. I don't know the specifics about how but it has worked for my family. I have 4 cats and no fleas and my sis has cats and dogs that go outside.

I don't think Frontline repels fleas, it only kills them once they're on the animal. I've always used Advantage or Advantix on my dogs and cats. Never found a flea on them once they were treated with this. Advantix is only for dogs, tho, so you would want to use Advantage. It also stops the fleas from laying eggs. Might want to look into switching products when your cat's next treatment is due....check with your vet.

What I have used on my cat and it has worked really great is Advantage. When I have put it on my cat the fleas are gone within a day. I went out and bought a months supply for about 50.00 and it lasted for four months . You use one each month and I had no problem with it on my cat. I used frontline once and it did not work for my cat so I went and used Advantage.

Frontline PLUS is what you need. The PLUS not only kills the fleas, but keeps the eggs from hatching.
Make sure you vacuum daily while in this process of getting rid of the flea infest.
Good Luck.

I think (if I'm remembering correctly from class) Frontline only kills fleas if they actually bite the animal.

Diatomaceous earth. Sprinkle around your house. Vacuum it up later. Get food grade, so if your cats gets any in his mouth, it won't cause harm. You can get the fleas off your cat, sure, but you gotta get them out of your carpet first.

HAVE YOU USE A BUG FOG GER TO KILL THE FLEAS THAT MAY STILL BE ALIVE. THEY LOVE CARPET, BEDDING OR ANYWHERE THEY CAN LIVE FOR AWHILE UNTIL THEY DIE.GO TO YOUR LOCAL STORE OR PET STORE AND ASK THEY WHAT THINK IS THE BEST. I WOULD GO TO PET SMART. YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE YOUR CAT OUT OF THE HOUSE WHILE YOU DO THIS. GOOD TIME TO HAVE YOUR CAT GROOM, WHILE YOU DEBUG YOUR HOME.

u might want to get another medicine and vacume your whole house and wash everything because the fleas could jump off and get back on after the medicine wears off.
