Well, Splenda can cause gastro-intestinal side effects for some folks. Gas, cramps, diarrhea.
Equal or aspertame was never intended to be used in the amounts we see it used today. I've seen articles that stated that it can cause neurological damage by interfering with the myelin sheath that coats our neurons. Personally, I get migraine if I eat anything with nutrasweet.
Sweet-n Low just tastes nasty to me, with an wicked aftertaste. It was proven way back in the 70's to contribute to increased bladder cancer in male rats.
Stevia is the most natural of them all, derived from an herb. It is SUPER sweet. Only a tiny drop is needed to sweeten a cup of tea.

I think I'll stick with sugar or honey, thanks.

Everything you named is a chemical. Man made and virtually untested before sending to market. They make people ill...Aspartame alone has over 92 documented side-effects up to and including death. Splenda is NOT made from sugar, that is a lie. The final report of a seven-year study on aspartame (also known as Nutra-Sweet or Equal) has linked it to high rates of lymphomas, leukemias, and other cancers in rats. The rats were given the equivalent of four to five bottles of diet soda a day for a human. Keep in mind Aspartame is in MORE than soda. It's in just about everything calling itself 'sugarless' or 'sugar free'. Gum, mints, jell-o, puddings, cereal, candy, the list goes on.

The carcinogenic effect of aspartame was found at levels as low as 400 parts per million, or about 20 milligrams a day for humans. This is far less than current daily limits in America (50 milligrams) and the UK (40 milligrams)

The phenylalanine in aspartame dissociates from the ester bond and increases dopamine levels in your brain. This can lead to symptoms of depression because it distorts the serotonin/dopamine balance. It can also lead to migraine headaches and brain tumors through a similar mechanism.

Furthermore, the aspartic acid in aspartame is a well-documented excitotoxin. Excitotoxins are usually amino acids, such as glutamate and aspartate. These special amino acids cause particular brain cells to become excessively excited, to the point they will quickly die. Excitotoxins can also cause a loss of brain synapses and connecting fibers.

Then the ester bond in aspartame is broken down to formaldehyde and methanol, which have their own toxicities. So it is absolutely no surprise that leukemia is associated with using it.

Splenda's manufacturers have attempted to imply that Splenda is natural and safe by using the slogan, "made from sugar so it tastes like sugar." But by the end of the complex chemical processing Splenda goes through, it resembles nothing found in nature. This product is no way shape or form natural, nor is it a real sugar. It isn't even close. The molecular structure of Splenda bears remarkable resemblance to pesticides

What's more, the long-term safety of Splenda has never been established. In fact, there have only been six human trials to date, the longest of which lasted three months.

Use organic cane crystals for sweetening, and leave the white processes stuff alone and certainly leave the chemical stews of 'artificial sweeteners' alone and you'll be so much better off.

Splenda is a natural product that comes from sugar, Equal, and Sweet-n-low are all man made chemicals. Take you pick natural is good for me. Pure splenda is ok for diabetica but baking splenda contains regular sugar so it is not safe.

I think they are all disgusting and you can't beat real sugar, which, like everything else is fine in moderation. We eat too many chemicals as it is.
