God Bless the navy corpsman and medics, but I think being an infantryman is the greatest sacrifice anyone can possibly make. Oorah and Semper Fi.

Although I was a lowly sailor (that is a joke by the way) I agree 100%. We had some injurned Marines on our ship during the first gulf war, and I will never forget how hard those men and women worked to get the well.

I served as an ambulance driver with the 3rd Marine division, and I worked with these guys each and every day. The Chief Petty officer who was their supervisor, also was my boss.

The commitment and comradely these guys had towards each other, and the Marines they served, could not be found in a text book. it was real, and it was returned, in kind, by the Marines they served.

i think of the respond isn't any, neither are greater proper. i've got had infantrymen friends and leaders in that got here from the Marines and that all of them say appropriate to the comparable factor. the version is commonly on the way you get their yet as quickly as on the floor its appropriate to the comparable. The Marines are an expeditionary rigidity waiting at sea in any respect situations. yet that does no longer mean they're the 1st ones doing each and every of the invading like in this warfare (3ID, 101stABN). the army has mild infantry that have air assualt and airborne cabablities and heavy infantry in bradley struggling with vehichles the marine corp does not. And the army isn't and occupation rigidity the two. in no way in my preparation before the warfare did all of us say" very nicely we can a thank you to occupy a rustic right this moment". We found out conflict drills, first help, marksmanship in all of our weapons, call for mortars and atrillery, a thank you to habit long selection air assualt (heliborne) operations at the back of enemy lines and alot of city close quarters wrestle (it is what military mild infantry concentrate on too. they have diverse roles. i've got seen lots of marines that ive pronounced "thank god that dude didnt connect the army and are available to my platoon" and alot of soldier that i've got pronounced "why could he have not joined the marines". The marines have a lots bigger infantry to non-wrestle arms ratio. it is why they traditionally have this form of gung ho techniques-set. the army has a lots decrease p.c. of infantry yet their infantryman are in basic terms as gung ho. Regardless, you notice truly problematic *** adult males in the two which make you proud to affix the comparable protection rigidity. the U. S. marines and US military have diverse roles and have faith me there's no person in the international greater proper than them in those roles in the adventure that your searching for survivability be a POG.

As one of those medics, I would hesitate to call myself particularly brave and unselfish - I was freakin' scared and I darn sure didn't wanna die. But I can at least be proud that I didn't ever forsake my duty.

Something noteworthy. Many medics were Co's. )Conscientious objectors) They did not believe in bearing arms, , ,they would not kill,
but when it came to serving their country,
they were there , willing and able.
