*For me, I prayed to God for a spiritual master who could guide me, speak to me and love me. One who could remove all my doubts and purify my heart. I wanted a teacher who could teach me about love of God and correct me when I am out of line.
If we ask our questions with sincerity and humilty, God will give you personal revelation and awaken your faith. Ask questions only to God and recieve answers. It is very personal.
God hears everything and guides you to your Guru or spiritual master. Then Guru brings you to God.
(For Christians, Jesus is their Guru or Master. )
If you want to know God, in humility, love, and an open heart, then God will communicate with you and guide you and reciprocate.
God reciprocates. He anwers my questions and sent me to my Guru.
This is my proof. You can get proof too. God gives us free will. We can choose to be atheist or whatever and God will facilitate that wish.
But if we desire to have a loving relationship with God, in all sincerity, God will facilitate that too.
@daniel b thats very nice what you said about reading the Bible with an open heart.
And also about the big bang theory, isnt that just rediculous? If we came from nothing, or a big explosion, WHO made the explosion.......?
No scientist can create life, because Life is not a random explosion. You need INGREDIENTS for life! Who supplies the ingredients? Who supplies the brains of the scientist?

The proof that something is not from a human but from God, is that the contents of the message do not contain elements that feed the human ego.
For example: racism, is something that feeds the human ego. If a religious text has racist orders and teachings, it is the work of man and not God. Because God does not have an ego.
For me, as a Muslim, the message itself is so advanced that I know it cannot be from a human. And definitely not from Muhammad himself. Because the teachings are very clear and they point at the following:
-no ones better than another human
-all living beings have a right to life and have rights that need to be protected (regardless of religion)
-God is the Creator of all and God alone is the judger and God alone knows where everyone is headed.
You will find no human ego in the Quran. Look again, and let me know if you do.
And all those statements about faith needing no proof? This is true, it doesnt. But this doesnt mean that Truth cannot be proven.

it is actual that there have been no longer reproduction machines whilst the bible became into written, yet that doesn't advise that it is unquestionably misguided. The Masoretic custom of copying scripture became into extremely meticulous, and copies relationship centuries aside tutor little distinction. And if the Bible is seen misguided, then NO different historical e book would be seen precise the two, because of the fact the Bible is via some distance the main nicely attested. a guy or woman's opinion 2000 years in the past continues to be valid, because of the fact the basics society have actual probable replaced little or no interior the final 2000 years. There could be no data that the Jews have been slaves in Egypt, yet until eventually the 20 th Century, there became into no data exterior the Bible that the Hittites existed. immediately there is plenty we even understand the language that they spoke. And it is actual that beef became into banned because of the fact it killed human beings. in actuality many of the Biblical rules have been approximately secular concerns, i.e. crime, suing somebody, and so on. And faith became into by no skill relatively 'created'. each and every human society has had some non secular concept. faith has by no skill relatively been the #a million reason for conflict, and this concept is basically parroted via people who prefer to point that faith is evil. Even curiously non secular wars oftentimes have extra motives than basically ideological ideals. as an occasion, the Crusades began after the Muslim Ottoman Empire began to threaten the army of the Papal States. the main deadly conflict became into WWII, which did no longer have a non secular reason. the main deadly conflict that would desire to be seen non secular became into the Taiping insurrection (1850-1864) it is the 2nd maximum deadly conflict ever. even nonetheless, the non secular ideals of the chief have been seen as heretical via maximum Christians, and there have been different motives, such because of the fact the corruption that became into customary decrease than the ruling Qing dynasty, and ethnic discrimination throughout the time of China.

It's great that you can acknowledge that there seems to be wisdom and design in the universe, if we don't credit it to a creator who do we credit it to? Just think of how unique the earth is. Imagined that you are in a barren desert, devoid of all life. Suddenly you come upon a beautiful house. The house has air conditioning, heating, plumbing and electricity. Its refrigerator and cupboards are filled with food. Its basement contains fuel and other supplies. Now, suppose you asked someone where all of this came from, in such a barren desert. What would you think if that person answered, "It just happened to appear there by chance"? Would you believe that? Or would you take for granted that it had a designer and builder. All the other planets that scientists have probed are devoid of life. But Earth teems with life, sustained by very complex systems that provide light, air, heat, water and food, all in exquisite balance. Interestingly the Bible says in Hebrews 3:3 "Every house is constructed by someone, but he that constructed all things in God." Yes this is only one line of evidence there are literally thousands of others, if we have the patience and desire to look for the answers, like you.

To be honest, I used to have a religion that had no clear proof of it's existence, only stories that were changed with a new 'convenient revelation'.
These were preached to me by priests that I revered with all my heart. I studied, and learned their doctrines. I believed everything they were saying....until I found out they were lying to me.
I used to believe in evolution.
Then I found there were other options out there.
I studied, researched, and found that the universe could not have just erupted from nothingness. This is a violation of BASIC science.
I feel that my belief in the Christian God of The Bible, and his creation of the universe is by far thousands of years ahead of our primitive attempts to rationalize that very creation.
The answers are right in front of us, but we refuse to even consider looking in that direction because of bias, something that any thinking scientist is sworn to avoid.
No attempts to be rude.
Hope you don't take it that way.
I honor your honest question, and in return I am being honest with what I am saying.
Read The Bible with an open heart.
If you do, the words will leap out to you, and you will see the world in a differ ant light.
If you don't read those religious texts that you are sick of, how will you learn about it?
don't go by other people's opinions of The Bible.
They probably never cracked the book open.

Well, I think you have to look at what you will or won't consider "proof."
Modern brain scanning techniques have enabled researchers to document biological, observable events in the brain during meditation/mystical experiences, so it's clearly not just "wishful thinking" or "imagination." SOMETHING happens . . . is that something the xian god, or other godhs, like my own, or simply the subconscious or unconscious mind tapping into a previously unknown brain function?
*shrug*
Who can say?
For me, I can point to my Normanni ancestors, and know that my religion closely resembles what they thought and believed . . . that there is historicity on my side. Historic foundation + personal gnosis/spiritual experience = religion. That's probably true for everyone's religion, although I think the xian fundamentalists so prevalent here in the US set themselves up for failure and ridicule by taking their sacred texts so literally.
It's when people expect spirituality to behave like science, or be documentable like history, that the trouble starts. The real question, for me, is NOT "can I prove to someone else, scientifically, logically, or however, that Freyr, Odhinn, Thor and all the rest exist?" but rather, "does this belief and the worldview it sustains WORK in my world, to add depth, beauty, purpose, and poetry to my life?"

Religion isn't God. Unfortunately, so many are under the impression that the terms are synonomous. I believe because I have tasted and seen that the Lord is good. The things of God are not for the human mind's entertainment or understanding but for the enjoyment of Man's human spirit. No matter how much I put a type or piece of food up to my hear, I will never taste it because I am not utlizing the organ or sense for tasting..

you should go with your inner feeling- not so much religion -later if you find a religion you like fine- but I'm talking about the feeling of your inner being- you cant remember anything before this birth or even when you were a baby and you don't know the future but how can you deny life itself? you know you are ignorant because you know that you cant see God or even your own hand in the dark --and you don't even know what happens after death- so be a little humble and don't expect to be shown things just because you are curious-- people do find God---and its not from cheap curiosity--its from crying for Him--really needing Him and needing to know what you are doing here and what is His purpose in all this...

A search for proof requires reasoning. Intellect, reason is part of the physical world. It won’t get you anywhere in the spiritual realm. Faith is absolutely the only way. This is because reasoning comes from our mind and only through faith can we let our mind submit to God’s will.
If I knew absolutely nothing of any religion and was suddenly introduced to various gods and goddesses it wouldn’t do a thing for me, unless something in the teaching showed me how to draw closer to God and to feel His presence. In the Christian faith we do this through the understanding of God as our spiritual father whom we can freely approach as His children.
Reasoning will only block your ability to feel God’s presence because it will keep your mind focused on the physical.

Just accepting it all and going with the flow. It doesn't matter either way in the immediate moment anyway...well most of the time, and most people do what ever causes the least amount of waves in their lives, or so I've found as I've traveled through my path. Freedom is what we think in our heads, liberty is how we express our lives and is seldom granted the common or Lordly. Truly ignorance ( lack of knowledge ) is bliss, it is allows the acceptance of any thing put before one regardless of how fanciful.
