ok, i guess my dad thinks im gonna be some sex star cause one night, we were eating king crab legs. and i said that it is fun to bite the claw then suck the meat and juices out. and my parents friend said that all my friends (that are guys) are gonna bring me home saying "look at what she can DO!!!!" and then another time, i was sitting on the couch and he said blow the candles out. they were in a row. like tallest to shortest. so the couch is 2ft away from the candles, and i stayed where i was on the couch and blew them out with one blow. my dad looked like he was about to cry and looked at my mom and she started laughing. or, ill be standing somewhere and ill bend backwards and touch the floor with my hands. i think hes scared for my "saftey". is that kind of stuff that,...i dont know...is does taht really give him reason to think that? imean im 14, and i have lotsa guy friends that i go and talk to regulary and spend lotsa time with

Mandi is right. It makes dads very uncomfortable to see their baby girl growing up. Men know how men think and it makes them very scared for their sweet, innocent baby girl. Be happy that he loves and cares for his little girl. Listen to his advice, because more often than not, he will be right. Remember that he truly wants the very best for you. A father always worries about his daughter. He can not see you and does not want to see you as a sexual being until you are married. It sounds as if you are probably an attractive young woman that has male admirers.
You are 14, he knows 14 yr old boys he was one once. Yes, he is worried. Go give him a hug, tell him you love him, and tell him to relax if he raised you right you will respect him and his values. As my Dad said while taking my hand as I left for college" Sometime you'll like a guy and he'll like you.(pause)(sigh)...Whatever you do -Don't get pregnant." I smiled and said Dad I love you I know better than that you raised me:)

LOL You're killing him! No, he's a father (so am I) but we're not quite that fragile, it's just sometimes our daughters do things that give us moments of pause. It's not really anything to worry about. Trust me, if he was really stressed, he'd mention it in no uncertain terms. Just talk to him from time to time about things that are going on in your busy life. Sometimes we feel time slipping away rapidly, and we feel a little "disconnected"....it helps to get a peek of the little girl we remember in there every once in awhile.

he's ur dad and he loves you. and he worries about you. the first thing about the crab legs is the most reasonable one that would make him think that. the others, not so much. dad's are way overprotective because they love their little girls, and they want them to be safe. give ur dad some credit, and tell him to trust you. tell him ur old enough to be responsible and that u make wise choices. im 14 too and i know never to have sex before marriage. and my dad knows that about me too. good luck ! ;)

Dads don't want to think of their daughters in a sexual way (well...normal dads). He still wishes you were 2 years old with chocolate cake smeared on your face and calling him daddy, being cute, sweet, and innocent. And not corrupted by the outside world.

He Prolly dont wanna be a grandpappy things like that happen to me. I live with my gramma and grampa and my gramma is so protective and she acts like she dont want me to even look at boys im like mother ( I call her mom) im 13 im ur grandaughter you should know me better im not gonna sleep with anybody and waste my life haveing a annoying crying child. I mean I want one later in my life but not right now and she acts like well ur gonna get pregnant before ur 16 im like mom no im not. I swere parents can be to protective and they think were brain dead sometimes. but hey dont sweat it im sure hell understand one day that ur not dumb. Hope that helps Jessie.

lol i hav the same thing! my dad went on about how if parents hav a son they only hav to worry about one penis while if they hav a daughter they hav to worry alot more lol it was something like that
